What's interesting, the opposition Party stands with ANTIFA....the ones that are destroying cities,burning cars, looting while calling to defund the police! Guess my party has the only ones behind it that are for Country.No choice!

 

They were healthy and alive when Trump took over. What really counts is what goes through the tiny little brain of the POTUS.

 

The casualties have been reduced considerably. About half the units in the Air Force were declared not combat ready because of needed equipment parts. The other services were in similar condition. Very few are non combat ready today. That means that if we go to war, we have a fighting chance.

 

I'll need a reference for that, but it's irrelevant. Congress funds the military. The issue is Trump's fitness to be POTUS.

 

No. The issue is having a military that is alive and able to fight. I got my information from a daily brief from the Air Force Association. But there are other sources.

Was it fake news when Trump dismissed McCain's hero status because he got caught?

Was it fake news in March 2019 when he publicly said: "I gave him the kind of funeral that he wanted — which, as President, I had to approve. I don't care about this. I didn't get 'thank you.' That's okay. We sent him on the way. But I wasn't a fan of John McCain." ? First of all, he's lying again, because it was congress who approved the hero trappings for McCain's funeral. The WH merely approved use of government trasport for his remains.

Was it fake news when Trump shamefully pulled our troops out of northern Syria, leaving our staunch allies, the Kurds, to be butchered by Recip Erdogan? Turn tail like the dishonorable coward that he is, after talking it over not with the Pentagon, but with Putin and Erdogan.

I could waste a whole day on this, but why bother? It will never sway Trump's base. Y'all will continue to spin every negative story as fake news, damn the facts. Who needs the truth? Certainly not his supporters.

I'm not sure what you think this means. Trump and Congress funded the military. That's their job. So what? The issue is Trump's comments, which reflect complete ignorance of American values; honor, bravery, sacrifice, something bigger than oneself. That's the issue. Distracting with fiscal policy isn't going to work here.

Also, the Atlantic editor who wrote the stary is not a novice, but an award winning investigative journalist who knows how to verify his sources. I'd trust that over Trump's endless lies any day.

A couple years ago, he was much more worried about how his hair wpuld look on a wet and blustery day that he was about honoring our dead soldiers. He's a pathetic little toddler who never does anything that isn't self-serving. His few good deeds are for appearances only, to keep his base on the defense in his behalf. It seems to work with about 35% of Americans, sadly.

What it means is that we now have a fully functional military after years of neglect. That did not happen under Obama.

McCain lacked character and was a liar with limited ethics. Period. If the story wants to say Trump insulted McCain, that is truthful. To say he insulted vets in general is a lie.

 

Congress funds the military. You should know this.

 

It did not happen while Obama was president. You should know that.

It requires a president who actually fights for the funding and puts the military ahead of other expenditures.

 

The would be reality over fiction. McCain put Neocon war mongering over country.

 

I will explain how it really works. Spending bills start in the house. However, that is not how the information for that bill originates. Each unit in the military identifies their requirements for the following year. That information is passed up to the next higher echelon, massaged and then passed up. When it finally gets to DOD, the president works with DOD to submit what the think they need to the house. The house might choose to disregard it completely, but there is a good chance the president will veto it if they do.

I always hear the allegation that Pres Trump has told all these "lies".. but I can't think one one, not one that hurt the American Public.. he may have lied about were he has stuck his pecker while married,, I figure should be his own private business.. tho' I don't condone such behavior but figure .. he's a New Yorker
