Right.... he took on the republican establishment, the democrat party, two leading political dynasties, the media, the special interests, the 1 percenters.... and he wiped the floor with them.

You just described Trump's own "objectivity."

WOW...it sure didn't take very long for the divine leaders latest proclamation to be devoured by his worshippers. This new "Enemy of the people" thing is a terrible attack on the first amendment, not that it will likely be seen as such by those indoctrinated into the Church of Trump.

Yep, Obama ran and won only because the bulk of the MSM pretty much carried him and blocked and tackled for him every step of the way from the primaries through the last of the election cycle. Trump won WITH the bulk of the MSM actively trying to destroy him every step of the way after he won the Primaries. Obama required no courage and no intelligence to 'run' for the presidency since he knew that the MSM was on his side. Trump required a great deal of both . . . which he had in abundance . . . and with which he won.

He's in the White House doing his job instead of sucking up to every media/celebrity outlet like the Obamas.

It's actually an exercise of one's first amendment rights. Do you mind? Only the pope is infallible, not the media. :D

That said, if you think these NY/Washington/LA talking/writing heads work for you and have your interests at heart and not doing the bidding of the ruling elites that feed them, you're sadly naïve.

It is pretty amazing that he won without really being supported by either main political party. It gives me hope that America is waking up to how the two parties have had a monopoly on our government.

And that's one of the main reason why the media is waging an all out war against him. They're finally realizing that they are irrelevant and disbelieved by the American people but instead of introspection and self-cleansing, they are panicking, doubling down and going all in trying to prove that they are right and that they are "the man". Their pride, snobbism and sense of self-importance push them towards self-destruction.

The media is owned by billionaires like Jeff Bezo(amazon.com who owns Washington Post empire); Arthur Ochs Sulzberger, Jr.,(owner of the NY Times empire), George Soros who funds dozens of media outlets( http://www.foxnews.com/opinion/2011...e-soros-ties-30-major-news-organizations.html ), etc. The MSM is owned by and works for these pro "One World Economy" billionaires who are singlehandedly trying to destroy the US middle class in favor of the slaves working for nothing is S.E. Asia and S.America. The only ones who benefit from their efforts are the billionaires who run the world economy.

He didn't wipe the floor with anybody.

He lost the popular vote and only won the electoral college by the narrowest of flukes.

He has accomplished absolutely nothing so far. Other than signing a series of largely symbolic executive orders, managing to (*)(*)(*)(*) off the leaders of several countries, and failing to understand that the campaign is over, all he had done is play to his knuckle dragging audience.

Oh, he also has named the most potentially corrupt cabinet since the Harding Administration.

And you were told that by Fox Noise, which is also owned by a billionaire who wants you to believe that if you give the billionaires what they want, some of it may "trickle down" to you. The right has been saying that since Reagan, and there is no evidence of it ever happening.

Republican party establishment, the democratic party, the media, two political dynasties notwithstanding?

You don't win or lose what you don't compete for. He won 30 states, 85% of counties and 306 electoral votes - that's what the race was about

    -The Dakota pipeline
    -The TPP withdrawal
    -The wall
    -The reversal of transgender bathrooms
    -The 7 countries immigration ban
    -2 for 1 regulations

just to name a few. You should pay attention if you want to stay relevant in political discussions.

Exactly. Why pretend that there can be good natured camaraderie? Clearly that's not going to happen...

The President of the United States has better things to do than kowtow to a bunch of jackals bent on seeing to it that his administration is viewed in the worst light possible.

Is it any surprise that the anti-establishment President shows little interest in maintaining traditions? I think not.

The correct question: who is it that is spouting the propaganda? The correct answer: the mainstream media.

Trump continues to call a spade a spade. Kudos to his doing that.

    Agreed.

Actually, the cowardly thing would have been to cave to going to this thing based on the fact that it's "tradition". If the President doesn't think it's worth going to, why should he be bothered?

Sorry, just the opposite. It appears that in the Trump administration, "tradition" is no longer considered enough of a reason to continue to do something. Those on the left will paint this as proof of cowardice, while those on the right will view it as proof that the President has a spine. And once again, neither side has the slightest chance of convincing the other side that they're correct...

Their past activities are coming home to roost.

I completely agree. The man managed to win the presidency, despite being opposed by the Washington establishment (both Democrat and Republican), the mainstream media, and Hollywood. If that's not an accomplishment, I don't know what is. I too am hopeful that this is an indication that America is finally beginning to wake up and pay attention.

Reagan average GDP growth over his 8 years 3.6
    Obama 1.78

Household income growth under Reagan 4%
    -2% under Obama

I will take Reagans economy over Obama any day of the week

Are you mad? It seems as though you're quite upset.

Say it with me... Donald Trump is the President of the United States.

The First Amendment makes it illegal for Congress to put in place laws which prevent folks from speaking their minds or allowing the press to disseminate information. The First Amendment has absolutely nothing to do with a President's ability to point out that the "press" is making things up and skewing their reporting towards a particular viewpoint, and as a result is working against the interests of the people. I really don't understand why that is so difficult for people to understand...

Just as many find it difficult to understand how Americans are so easily fooled into accepting dismantling of the fabric and rights gained at great cost by a charlatan b rate tv star.

Sorry, but claiming that that's what's happening is worlds apart from that actually happening. If anyone is guilty of dismantling the fabric and rights gained at great cost, it is people in the press who feel it okay to skew their coverage to promote a particular political agenda, even while insisting that they are providing fair, unbiased coverage. That's not just moving the goal posts, that's playing on a completely different field, in a game with completely different rules.

Yes, and not every dinner invitation is accepted. Get over it. There are more important things going on in the world.
