    https://thehill.com/homenews/administration/419437-trump-cohen-should-go-to-prison

First off, "unrelated to Trump!?" ROFL. The man pled guilty because he violated campaign finance laws when he paid a porn star who had an extramarital affair with trump to remain silent and he pled guilty to lying to Congress about trump's knowledge of a trump tower deal in Russia.

So why does the "law and order" candidate want Cohen to go to jail for a full and complete sentence even though he is cooperating with the prosecutor? Indeed, the "law and order" candidate is going so far as to applaud other witnesses for their unwillingness to cooperate with the special counsel.

Cohen will spend time in prison... there is no way he's getting zero prison time, even if he serves Trump up on a silver platter, which he could very well be doing.

But he will get some leniency, as he seems to be cooperating with the SC, more so than the doomed Paul Manafort, soon to be an afterthought, folding prison laundry full time (that would be ironic for a convicted money launderer.... I wonder if that's why they do that?)

But you are 100% correct that the great majority of Cohen crimes are directly related to Trump. They could get away with that BS for Manafort, but that dog doesn't hunt for Cohen...

Things seem to be heading back to where all this started--with improper business dealings by Trump's team.

These comments serve as an indication that Cohen is cooperating a lot with Mueller and isn't holding back much at all or showing any loyalty to Trump.

As long as Cohen is truthful and can corroborate his claims, it's a good thing. I have serious concerns that we'll ever know the whole story. I'm also interested in how the pro-Trump media will respond if Trump is shown to have a role in this.

Trump's correct, Cohen's plea on campaign finance means Cohen broke the law, not Trump. There is no such thing as guilty plea by association.

Cohen pled guilty to lying to Congress. It has nothing to do with Trump either even if the lie was about a Trump business activity.

Trump didn't violate campaign finance law, Trump didn't lie to Congress, Cohen did.

Trump does not give a **** about laws. Trump is ranting and raving because a colossal **** storm is brewing and he is in the eye of it.

"Trump did not violate the law" is insufficient to prove that "Cohen's crimes have nothing to do with Trump"

#1 is 100% false... and there is guilt by being named in a joint conspiracy.

#2 is at least 50% false.... still being uncovered

#3 is the same as #2 for the reason in #1

You really need to read this article

Nah, it will blow over, no collusion or treason - no case, with 53 loyal Republican senators and fully supported by the Republican base any impeachment based on Mueller's coup attempt will be laughed out of the senate.

PS Mueller is being sued for bullying witnesses into lying

A convicted (for lying, no less) criminal like Cohen, spewing lies about someone else isn't sufficient to even allege that the target of these insinuations is in any way shape or form involved in his crimes.

Lest we forget that he is heavily incentivized to lie and that Mueller is being sued for bullying witnesses into lying.

Jeez, do you even understand the fascist totalitarian nonsense you just stated?

There is guilt if you are convicted of a crime in a court of law or if you plead guilty. Period. No one can plead guilty on your behalf. Lol this was one of the dumbest statements ever posted on this forum.

    No kidding.

Par for the course for those "defending" Trump.

You really can't expect Blinded Trump Apologists to ever let facts get in the way of their ludicrous narratives.

    The only facts are

    - Cohen committed crimes and pled guilty to them

    - a criminal complaint against Mueller accusing him of bullying witnesses into making false statements was filed earlier today.

The rest I am afraid aren't facts, they are "any day now" conspiracies caused by TDS.

Sorry, I meant strong evidence of guilt, whereas you seem to be able to completely ignore the fact that one conspirator said under oath that another conspirator directed the conspiracy.... Your boy will have to answer for that, if not now, in Jan 2021...

Evidence-free claims of a highly incentivized to lie criminally convicted serial liar and perjurer constitute strong evidence of guilt in your imagination only....

That being said, there's been no claims of his incriminating Trump. NPR made a claim that his guilty plea may incriminate Don Jr. just to admit that it was fake news.

Dude, don't confuse TDS fantasies with facts

    Really? Brief refresher course

    SNIP
Cohen said "a candidate" for federal office directed him to make illicit payments to two women meant to influence the 2016 elections.
    ENDSNIP

If you don't want to call that a claim of incriminating Trump because he's not named, feel completely free...

Making payments to anyone in the course of a campaign is perfectly legal... but in either case, i was talking about something serious, at the very least perjury, if not obstruction or collusion and Cohen has claimed no such thing.

If you seriously expect to impeach Trump on not reporting a tiny campaign contribution (the worst case scenario and virtually unprovable under the circumstances) - good luck with that lol

Yeah, I forgot... you have 53 Loyal Republican senators who will ignore breaking federal law.... Good for them (and you)

I LOL at "virtually unprovable", based on the WSJ article about Trump's involvement and the immunity deals provided to Pecker and Weisselberg...

As an asserted proxy to Trump. To prove I'm not a "bucket-carrying" boy(which Tomfitz believes by now.) It's called guilt by association. In legal terms, Trump would be an accomplice to the crimes Cohen committed.

Jeez, We covered this 2 posts earlier, guilt is based on a conviction in a court of law or guilty plea, not the incompetent wishful thinking of TDS mob. Duh

And there's zero evidence that Trump broke campaign finance law in the first place, Cohen statement even if true and provable doesn't even begin to incriminate Trump. Duh

He didn't plea guilty for lying to Congress about Trump's knowledge of anything...he plead guilty for simply misleading them. He said it ended in Jan 2016, when in fact he had a handful more convos about it. The only thing related to Trump was the guilty plea of making an excessive campaign contribution.
