Cash would be better than the payroll tax suspension simply because it would reach the most vulnerable. We should be anticipating a steep rise in unemployment.

Warren’s got a good plan out that suspends debt and increases SSN and provides no interest loans to any size company if they agree to carry staff through this crisis (stave off pending unemployment issue).

No they aint. Donald is getting a loan for them, and they need to repay it all.
No such thing as free money. Government getting less income just means Donald is making loans, and it all needs to be repaid.

All in all. This is helping companies.
That's where your communism comes in.

I think helping out one group of people (hourly workers, airlines, cutting checks to people making $65,000) with ANOTHER group of people's money is all the boogeymen the GOP have been terrified of over the years: wealth redistribution!1!!! socialism!!11! WELFARE!!

You know, all the stuff we liberals have been telling you decent and moral society's do: we look out for each other because we're all in this together. And now you're saying it too! Welcome to the movement! We're glad to have you. Now, let's talk about billionaires.

Oh, and yes, you guys were right about borders. Although the wall was a stupid idea.

You still don't know exactly what that "help" is. Nor have you explained why you think it and tax cuts are socialism.

And when he does this I give it six months and they will be claiming that SS and Medicare are bankrupting the country. That “payroll tax” is what funds those 2 programs. This is a very smart play by those who want to destroy the programs.

They could very easily give INCOME tax relief, but instead they chose payroll taxes, because there is a very definite ulterior motive here

Mitt Romney has suggested direct paymments to those who need help.

Those out of work are going to get seriously screwed by the COVID disaster.

Here in Seattle we've stopped all evictions based on rent payment.

But, when it's all over, low income people are still going to be out of work and with months of back rent, etc.

Romney is actually thinking!! Good for him!

I think we can agree that federal aid to private industry is not capitalism.

Well as you clearly point out, Trump is not a conservative. I could articulate why this is bad, but since you mention Ann Rand, I will just say that anyone who has not read Atlas Shrugged should read it.

Good lord. Do you not understand anything? The US government will be missing their income. It's not as if they said, we are going to spend the same amount less. Hence,... the US government must borrow that money. And the taxpayer has to pay the rent. That's how it works. Money aint free. Not even for the government. DUH! lol

So you can't answer my question so you make up one of your own to distract the conversation? Go back and answer my questions and I'll respond to yours. You have to give a little to get a little.
