trump is panicking, while I never hope for a recession one was coming — I am glad his failed fiscal policies erupted prior to 2020 instead of immediately afterward.

No one even talks much about the planned takeover of the lifeblood of modern civilization...the oil/gas/energy industry. Healthcare is chump change compared to when they get their hands on fossil fuels industry with cap-and-trade. Those costs will get passed down to consumers in gasoline and electricity prices, and it will be painful. The solution will of course be even more government.

This isn't going to hurt Trump, left wing rags twisting everything around to hurt him always fails. You can post polls all day long, but primary poll voters who actually get out and vote are the polls that count and Trump is beating Bernie and Biden, combined, in the states that matter.

No one ever said Trump was a conservative. As i have stated many times, he's really a moderate Democrat not a conservative Republican.

    Which polls?
I would love to see them — lets focus on North Carolina, Michigan and Pennsylvania.

That's true. It won't be surprising if he caves to Nancy and Chuck's Democrat demands for broad expansion of social services which will be permanent....not a temporary and necessary stop-gap to ease any short- to medium-term pain of the virus escalation. That's one reason I didn't vote for him in 2016; I didn't trust him not to "turn back into a Democrat" if he got in office. Democrats have been trashing him daily for 3+ years, but he's probably the best friend on the "opposite side of the aisle" they could have hoped for. If he'd run as a Democrat, they'd have been cheering him for 3 years.

I think the worst part is that the Democrats aren't Democrats anymore either they are just the anti Trump party.

That's not what that's not about. This is about whatever Trump does attack him for it and turn it into a political hammer against the right.

True. Trump is still far better than anyone in the Democrat's Party. They've gone way too far left over the last 30-40 years (ever so slowly) and seriously went off the rails over the last decade or so. They've gone completely nuts since Trump took office. He has accomplished several items which Democrats were promising not too long ago.

So if not the medical industry, what means of production is he taking over?

If not the Medical industry? WTF are you talking about?
One of these other sanders proposals like,
    Breaking up the banking system
    Carbon taxes
    Free college
    Elimination of student loan debt
Decriminalizing illegal border crossings (essentially open borders)
    Effectively Abolishing ICE and CBP
    National rent control
Total elimination of the Fracking industry (destroying the US oil economy
Elimination of the Electoral College system
    Eliminating Nuclear Power
    Nationalizing the Internet
All of which have a major effect on the economy and capitalism.

BTW, all of which is a moot point because the DNC will not ever allow Komrade Bernie Freeshit Sanders to be the Democrat candidate for POTUS.

I've been talking about that, too. It's no accident that progs are trying to seize control of our healthcare and energy. They know full well that if they control those two things they'll be able to control our lives, and many of us on the Right know that full well, too.

It's ALL about power and control, and they'll help themselves to the wealth that comes with both, too.

Right now, the private health insurance industry.

Him and his comrades will work on taking over the rest of the medical industry (hospitals, etc.) later.

It's the incremental approach to full nationalization/socialization that Harry Reid inconveniently revealed while Dems were laying the groundwork with FullRetardCare.

None of those are govt controlling the means of production. I didn’t say they were all good ideas, but they aren’t socialism anymore than tariffs are.

So the only means of production he wants to take over, doesn’t actually produce anything lol

An economy doesn't switch from a free-market economy run by private industry to a Socialist autocracy run by government overnight. It goes drip-by-drip over years or decades. Venezuela destroyed their economy in 20 years.

Events, like a pandemic or an economic depression, allow the drip to turn into a spigot for a period...usually promised as "temporary relief", but once government gets its claws in something where they can forcibly take more money out of our checks, "temporary" usually becomes permanent. Social Security was supposed to be temporary to help us out of the Great Depression. Now it's an entitlement because we've been forced to pay in our entire working lives, but that system will be bankrupt sooner rather than later....or the qualifying retirement age will be slowly bumped up to 80 or 90.

Maybe you should hang out with different people. Not every poor person is lazy. This is payroll taxes though, not income tax....so they do pay it if they are making a legal paycheck

Oh, believe me -- I'm the "arch-Conservative", and I roundly condemn Trump doing this! Nowhere in the Constitution of the United States is the president empowered to thrust himself into the machinery of legally-run FREE MARKET CAPITALIST ECONOMY.

I raise holy hell when Democrats do this kind of thing, and it's only fair to raise hell about it now that Trump is doing it! It's been WRONG ever since Frankie Roosevelt stuck his nose into private business operations in the 1930's and it is just as wrong today, in the 21st-century!

Don't Democrats have anyone to offer but Biden? If you did, you might be astonished to find that you could win in a landslide! Why couldn't Democrats get behind Andrew Yang, or even Mikey Bloomberg?! At least those two know WHAT an economy actually IS....

Why does he not offer to the middle class? Many Engineers and company support personnel like buyers and accountants need the relief as well. Most bring home less than hourly when over time is factored in.

If he negotiates a payroll tax cut with Nancy, then your paycheck will increase. However, if Nancy gets paid sick leave for all or a minimum wage increase, that will cost employers more money and they will likely lay off workers. So, if you keep your job, you'll have more money...and even longer overtime hours to make up the work of people who get laid off.
