    There is literally zero chance any federal court will take Trump's side on this one. Not even judges that he appointed.

    I guess Trump just wants to keep on failing.

    They always leave something out or make something up, which gave us things like unfettered abortion, gay marriage and the current state of trans-whatever, men pretending to be women/competing in women's sports and mentally ill story hour.

    And just to be clear, I don't care if they vote for it in their blue state, but don't try to force that degeneracy on the nation via activist courts/no constitutional foundation.

    All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the state wherein they reside. No state shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States; nor shall any state deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws.

    Which part do you say doesn't endorse jus soli?

    Only by sovereign citizens. If you're not possessed of diplomatic immunity, you're subject to the jurisdiction when you're within our borders.

    For the love of christ, can you not read the many aforementioned references to the 2 part citizenship requirement?

    The phrase, "AND subject to the jurisdiction thereof" has a meaning. The meaning as written in 1866.

    If someone isn't subject to the jurisdiction of the US, then how could we criminally charge them for something? Either illegal immigrants are subject to the jurisdiction of the US, or you can't arrest them.

    Why did you cherry pick it and leave out

    "All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside." If their parents reside in another country and only here for a visit then the child born resides in another country and not here.

    But I am all for an Amendment to make it clear and would even consider it applying to only children of persons here illegally including awaiting an adjudication of their status.

    All babies born in the USA are American citizens, unless they are the children of diplomats with diplomatic immunity.

    Doesn't matter if their parents are tourists or have a work visa, or even here illegally.

    Yes, who gives birth to them? If their mothers are subject to the jurisdiction of the US, the newly born child would be as well.

    The tax codes are setup to benefit the rich. What are Democrats doing to reform the codes? Nothing because lots of rich Democrats benefit from the codes.
