You should try reading one.....it's only painful if you hate the truth.

Then you might know about ALL the mistakes the military has made.

It's in the billions by now.....see, they use humans and not perfect people which are usually the ones who have NEVER been in the military and think they're perfect....

quite the contrary, the USA is going to hell because it has gone too far to the right

We never had problems such as Reaganvilles or homelessness, and had far less rampant drug addiction, hate crimes, debt, and social disorder until it swung so far to the right.

I think this is what people should be discussing about McCain - the fact that he tried to move the partisan politics out of governmental decision making. People aren't voted in to fight with the other side - they are voted in to move the country forward.

Liberal cities are not thriving.Unless you consider crime and
slackers and possible Gangs a part of thriving. They are virtually
run into the ground c/o the Democrat Party and Big City Democrat
mayors.Whereas most heartland cities are still wholesome and
peaceful and Americana { Live for Merry Christmas and Nativity Scenery }.
Of course this is all part of the Globalist plan.To eventually take over
this Country and turn into some Kafkaesque world.

Thankfully the Country was saved by the touch of God when Trump
won the Presidency.Just Imagine if Hillary won.We would be at least
halfway into a complete Banana Republic Dictatorship.

You mean like SF, LA, Chicago, Detroit, Atl, Jackson, etc. Sorry, you want to only claim the good parts of the cities while ignoring the tent cities within your cities isn't going to help.

Not sure what you call a "Rep voting farm", is that a "white ghetto" of 85 people?

Sure beats how the Liberal Lion { Teddy Kennedy } oversaw his
precious Boston. He ran into the ground with Grafted city management
    and Big Labor strong-arm tactics.
I wonder how Senator Warren and big Lib Ed Markey explain
    Boston's favorable Unemployment rate.
Keep in mind the Whitey Bulger and Robert Mueller
connection.Whitey Bulger,a notorious Boston Crime Boss { indicted
for 19 murders } whose younger brother William Bulger was the
former President of the Massachusetts Senate.Serving the longest
tenure { 18 years } in that position.
Enter one Bob Mueller who was " indifferent " as far as apprehending
Bulger { on the 10 most wanted list }.WHY ... one might wonder.
because like in the Movie starring Johnny Depp as Bulger
we learn that unbeknownst to nearly everyone in the city of Boston,
Bulger was used by the F.B.I. as a Confidential Informant.
WHY.Because he was part of the Irish Mob.And the F.B.I. was
interested in pursuing the competing Boston Crime syndicate of
    the Italians.

Try reading a book instead of getting your history from Hollywood and Johnny Depp.

I don't think of it as hate. I think of it as objective reality. We're treating McCain as if he was Eisenhower or something. No, he was a common, low ranking soldier who got himself captured. Thankfully, he was freed(as he should be) but can anyone explain what makes that heroic? Not giving the enemy info? Well, I'd hope every captured POW held themselves to what we would consider minimal standards.

He was heroic in the sense that he risked his life, but he wasn't heroic in the sense of valor on the battlefield. Otherwise, we'd fawn over every soldier that wears our uniform. I think the military families suffice for that honor.

many of those in tent cities arise from people displaced by Republican Reaganomics - if the farms had been ideal the homeless would drift there, not to cities

    I get it.Like how cute.
    You mean like - Dreams from My Father - { 1995 }
Obama's first tell all tale.Where his real life mentor
{ Frank Marshall Davis } is mentioned and explained.
Where as the new and Improved Barack Obama Tell-all Tale
    - Audacity of Hope - has no mention at all of this mentor
    Frank Marshall Davis.
    Gee I wonder why.
Maybe it wasn't being read correctly ... huh.

Boston is doing quite well and was never run into the ground by Kennedy or any of the Democrat mayors it has had for every year in a row since 1930.

The US Navy is an honorable institution. My dad served in it proudly during WW II.

But it is no surprise that a member of the far right strays off the thread topic - it's par for the course on this forum.

Plus we are being weaned into believing things that took place
to McCain at the 5 + year stay at the Hanoi Hilton.
How about the fact that the Viet Cong knew all about McCain
and his family. That both McCain's Grandfather and Father were
Admirals. You mean that meant nothing. That is not believable.
In the Jerome Corsi/John O'Neill book about John Kerry's actual
service record - Unfit for Command - { 2004 } we are privy to the
great lengths Kerry went to build his service up.Also how he worked
diligently to get a pass from draft service by becoming a foreign exchange
student at Univeristy for a deferment. Then when all else escapsed
his deferment he managed to get into the Navy { which actually had
a 2 year waiting period }.The Navy the least likely to make for
front line,in the trenches or Jungle/Gorilla battle fatigue.
Kerry even thought of himself like a Kennedy.Taking along a
typewriter aboard his swiftee duties. Not interested in mingling
with his fellow swiftees while off duty or even after a skirmish.
Which explains his desperation to appear so Navy-like in his
appearance at the 2004 DNC Convention.
Saluting the crowd with " Reporting for duty ".
