Trump is making his statement on Vegas. He is horrible, horrible, horrible at this sort of thing. He is reading the teleprompter about as flat and emotionless as I have ever seen someone give a speech.

Just as I thought his Charlottesville response blaming both sides was about his most Presidential moment, this time is the least presidential speech I have ever seen. It was like a child being forced to read an apology to his class.

Still too early to link it. Anybody see it agree?

Saw the President's response. It was reserved and appropriate. Writing "it was like a child being forced...." suggests you may not be the most objective reviewer of the President's response.

I haven't seen it yet.. but he most likely blew it.

Something is going on.. Even Trump's kids are distancing themselves from him.

No it was like a child being forced to read something. It seemed disingenuous.

Well, I'm not going to argue about how you feel about it. That is your opinion. I've offered mine.

I haven't been posting here consistently for long enough to do so. When I believe the President deserves criticism, I will offer it.

Even Trump's kids are quietly pulling away from him.

Oh, we just got used to obama's emotional driven remarks, and afterward people like my brother bought another gun in fear he would somehow confiscate them.

Did they tell you that? For only they would know. Unless we have read mind readers. And yet I can almost read a trump hater's mind before they post on trump. Almost but not really. But they are just too predictive. Like the sun rising each day. Not hard to be a prophet when it comes to his haters.

Even the largest mass shooting in US history isn't enough to tone down Trump derangement syndrome.

I'm confused by this, I don't like Trump, but his response was fine. He didn't say anything stupid or callous and offered sympathies to the victims.

No, we can't impeach Trump because he's an uncaring, spoiled bully ........it would be the right thing to do but we can't.

Not even 24 hours and some are already trying to make political hay. Trump seems to me to be emotionally overwhelmed by this. I suspect a hell of a lot of people are.

It isn't political to say he had a bad appearance. He just seems disengaged. As I indicated in the post you quoted, he seemed much more presidential in his Charlottesville reaction because he was actually engaged with the room and not reading from a teleprompter.

    Wow!

These Trump haters will find any little thing to criticize him for.

Can a President be impeached for lint in his pockets?

I guess it comes down to; Do we want an incompetent President who can speak well, or do we want a competent President who speaks like he was brought up in a construction workers environment?
