Let the Lame Stream Media know Merkel is the de facto Leader of the Free World. Then make sure you point out that Leading from the Back of the Bus.

Denmark has historically maintained a no-barrier policy and is often in the lead in the international fight against non-tariff barriers. Denmark is a member of the European Union, and has the best record of all EU countries regarding implementation of Single Market directives. Denmark applies no unilateral trade barriers against the United States. The EU’s common external duty tariffs apply to all products entering from non-EU countries, including the United States. Duties typically vary from 5.0% to 14% on industrial goods. Once goods have cleared customs in one EU country, they may circulate freely within the Union. A Value-Added-Tax (VAT) of 25% is applied on a non-discriminatory basis to all goods (and almost all services) sold in Denmark, whether imported or locally-produced.

Because of Denmark’s membership in the EU, certain agricultural products imported from non-EU countries are governed by the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP). Duties on these items ‑‑ which include cereal grains, rice, milk and milk products, beef and veal, olive oil and sugar ‑‑ are supplemented with a system of variable levies or other charges. The purpose of these is to equalize prices of imported commodities with those produced within the EU.

When products enter the EU, they need to be declared to customs per their classification in the Combined Nomenclature (CN). The CN document is updated and published every year, and the latest version can be found on the European Commission’s website.....snip~

Don't gulp that down in big bites. We wouldn't want you to choke.

The EU has a 14.5% tariff on American goods, but we have a 2.5% tariff on European goods. Why do you think they DID NOT AGREE with the President's ZERO TARIFFS ANYWHERE proposal?

The Leftgrovelers cannot seem tp grasp that their Beloved Idols, the Eurosleaze, have enjoyed unfair trade practices with us since WW2, and we FINALLY have a POTUS who is PUSHING BACK, because he lacks the craven need of the left for the Eurosleaze's "approval".

He's not here to IMPROVE THEIR TRADE POSITION; he's about IMPROVING OURS.

I guess you have to make something up, since what you claim is false (the agreement was negotiated in advance). And Trump has a history of blindly announcing or agreeing to thinks without thought or consultation.

BTW, please explain to us who signed what to cause the housing crash.

Accusing people of having a fake syndrone such as TDS is the same as saying crawling into a safe space and blubbering boo hoo you are a meanie you don't like the sane guy I like.

Only in the parochial bubble you live in would they say that.

What they will say is Trump divides our allies, puts America alone, isolated, and weakened

Really, you Trumpsters are the sort of folks who fell for Y2K , who ran out and bought duct tape, believed the myths about non existant FEMA concentration camps and fake stories about non existant muslims invading the US from Mexico.

Anything that pisses off the entrenched Washington establishment (the deep state) is a good thing.

I'm for strong borders, increased LEGAL immigration, and no tariffs (0.0%) for any country.

    Am I xenophobic and isolationist?

I once said that to someone about Obama on Sean Hannity's forum and I was accused by some brilliant righty that I was assigning God status to Obama saying he could cure cancer.

That isn't true either. But then Trumpsters don't care about facts,as long as they can cling to their simple notions.

Manufacturing declined to less than half the US economy in 1955. And the decline in US manufacturing had little to do with trade policy. It had to do with the collective decision of American business to stop investing in it.

Of course, as Trump continues to undermine American influence and power in the world by starting feuds with our allies, and flattering our enemies, you'll cheer loudly.

And when Trump is left standing in the corner while the rest of the world conducts business in spite of him and go around the United States, you'll be the loudest complainer.

But our decline is the direct result of what you cheer for

Isolationism didn't work in the 1930's and it isn't going to work now.

You're cheering for Trump's juvenile stupidity and against our allies.

    So is Vladimir Putin.

And the EU has mooched off of us, how again exactly?

And Canada has threatened us with what exactly!

Imposing tariffs recklessly on any country is not free trade. You sort of contradicted yourself.

Trump is trying to get others to lower their tariffs. And in certain key industries (steel) he wants to make sure we have viable producers so we are self-sufficient.

I don't think this is evil or complex.
