The arrogant asshats will not be in power. That alone is a victory. We have a balance of power in Congress, we have a constitution. No one is going to go out of line. The one who would have, did not win. I feel bad for those supporters, if only a little. They deserved much better than what they got.
The fact that your username is, "AmericanNationalist", you quote Benito Mussolini in your signature, and from the way it sounds you treat our political process like it's good (Republicans) vs evil (Democrats) makes me think that you will never be elected. (*checks location*) lol, yeah, especially being from Detroit.
This is the first president in my adult life I feel positive about. It's a nice change after 16 very long years of Bush and 0bama, and all the crap legislation and policy they've foisted on us.
Have pity We know she is in very poor health and is undoubtedly mentally broken down after her three decades of schemes and underhanded dealings and crimes failed to drag her past the post. All she has to look forward to now is a long prison sentence.
If you haven't noticed, these kind of smears will no longer work on this electorate. You'll have to come up with something new. The fact that I quote Mussolini is proof that I'm neither a Democrat or a Republican. I'm also not from Detroit. I moved here due to unmitigated circumstances. What the people want and need, is a political philosophy that ensures the well being of their people. Medicare collapsed, Medicaid collapsed. All of our Social programs have gone under. And all of those programs were weights against American growth. You can do nothing but smear. But now that's no longer effective. The people want answers. What answers can you give? I can give plenty.
My fellow Wisconsinite! Hey man, regardless, there's absolutely nothing wrong with grabbing some Johnson!
Fair enough. I'd like to hear those answers. PM me if you'd like (I'd like that). By the way I keep having this idea to make a "what political ideology are you?" thread on this forum that would help explain my positions. I basically have three. Direct Democracy over Representative Democracy Micro-political decisions over macro-political decisions Organizational egalitarianism over preferred structural hierarchy
You forgot the authority to kill US citizens without due process. - - - Updated - - - Once they repeal the unconstitutional Obama care, you guys need to focus on regaining the Senate to limit damage.
I keep thinking of what this means, and it's a lot more than just a Trump presidency. Republican control of the house and senate Possibly 4 supreme court justice picks No more Clintons ever again! Obama is on his way out, and has to eat crow knowing that Trump did what he said would never happen But those are just the obvious ones. The republican party has been given a wakeup call The democratic party has been given a keelhauling Those third world illegal immigrants will be given a bumrush so we don't end up looking like a third world I swear, this election was so very very important. If Hillary had won, we could have easily gone the same way as europe, which has already slit its own throat. Thank you to all of you who helped make this victory a reality!
You feel good about what he's said... which is... interesting. He hasn't done anything yet, other than terrify the entire world with the prospect of him being in power.
The next step, logically, is to mend this battered country America, & attempt in the process, to do away with the Preconceived notions of what it takes or better put, what is required, to be considered a viable candidate, OR political party in this country. The PEOPLE have spoken volumes in this election. 1- They elected not only a political outsider, but one not "better" ethically wise, than the opponent. 2- They maintained the status quo in the Federal & several State's legislature, in favor of Conservatism. 8 years ago, I predicted that the far left of the pendulum swing regarding the POTUS with he then Mesiah Obama, would see an equal Far Right swing. I admit, I'm 4 years off. Nonetheless, I remember hearing then, that the country had slipped hopelessly Left, & that the days of the country being Center/Right were long gone. Today? Not so much. Anywy, the takeaway, let's heal the country.
I must say how very impressed I was by President-elect Trump's modest acceptance response to Mrs Clinton.
They have their own issues. They have to live with the fact that they're #2, always will be #2 and made the mistake of dragging the US into the European-Russian conflict. Except this time: We're OUT, peace Europe.
America is now in the hands of someone who cares only for the US and making it better. I have high hopes for the future.
Only for extremists who love to twist words and assume the worst. Any objective critical thinking person seen this coming. And it is needed
Unless Trump listens to an expert in writing his fiscal proposals, we won't be number 1 just by virtue of our economy tanking as Trump builds upon the Obama deficit by increasing spending while cutting taxes. You know a proposal is trouble when it relies upon economic growth to be solvent. China will be number 1, and Russia will see what they can get away with to try to become more influential, which is basically whatever they want with Trump in charge. I hope Putin is as innocent as the pro-Russians on this forum make him out to be. If not, this victory is his as much as anybody else's.
As an independent I had no dog in this fight which perhaps makes it easier for me to extend my sincere congratulations to my conservative peers. So a toast, to Trump, may he not be as bad as I think he will be, and to the hope that he will perhaps surprise me and be better than I dare to believe that he can be. Cheers my friends!!!
No truth to what you said. Only strong, raw, irrational emotion. Welcome to the new US. You will be much better of here. Even if you do not want to believe it.
lol, that's quite the assertion you made there, so it needs more support than just the assertion itself. Particularly considering that educated people favored Clinton, that Trump has no experience, that Trump's proposals have been largely nonsensical or unworkable, and that corruption in the government is a function of how it is set up (which conservatives justices are likely to exacerbate based upon past disastrous decisions), and not whether we elect the more virtuous candidate, which is an amusing thought being applied to Trump. With the possible exception of somebody who only wants to do things like overturn Roe v. Wade, Trump's election is a product of pure ignorance and my main mistake has been that I thought better of America.
