Yeah, I'm gonna be optimistic here and believe the supreme court would strike this down as our Constitution trumps international treaties.

The Supreme Court passed Kelo v New London, which allows the govt to take private property and give it to another private person/company with as little justification as increased tax revenue. Kelo is totally unconstitutional. Or Mccain Feingold campaign finance law which is a blatant violation of free speech. Or the Patriot Act. How about obamacare? Surely you havent forgotten that bizarre ruling. How about some of the justices believing in a "living" constitution, and that it is ok to use foreign law to decide cases? I wouldnt trust the supreme court. They are as far off course as they can get. And even if the senate never passes the treaty, maybe obama (if he is re-elected) will just go around the congress and implement it through regulation. You cannot trust any of these socialists.

I doubt you could equalize Obamacare with a United Nations treaty. Adding extra costs and beauracracy to our Health Care market is hardly comparable to the United States Government giving our names and contact information to foreign Governments if we purchase Beretta or Norinco firearms.

Like I said, I hope you are right. The 1st and 4th (amendments) are all but gone. The second amendment is all we have left.
