Yep the few statements that have also stated that when the 911 call came in that there were several shots fired, so could that mean that there was a struggle over the gun. Now because his back was wet how do you take from that that this kid attacked him. Please explain that.

 

So if you were walking down the street minding your own business and some armed man jumped out of a car and attempted to detain you, what would your reaction be?

 

I assume that the recoil of a 9mm pistol didn't knock the man to the ground.

And I assume that his actions after shooting the guy was not to lay on the ground and beat his head and face on the ground till they bled.

Only logical implication is that

1) Zimmerman confronted Martin.

2) There was a physical struggle between Zimmerman and Martin.

3) Zimmerman fired one shot and killed Martin.

4) Zimmerman gets three years in prison for manslaughter for starting the confrontation in the first place for no good reason.

 

You don't start angrily defending your "rights" to a man with a gun.

How long should he serve?

It can't be first degree murder without evidence of premeditation which it doesn't seem to be as it seems that Zimmerman didn't even know Martin.

And the 911 call would argue strongly against premeditation.

Second degree murder would be easier to prove, but indications of a struggle muddies the waters a lot.

IIRC, Second degree murder amounts to an 8-15 year prison sentence in most states give or take with most serving about 8 years at most.

Manslaughter at max would probably be a 7 year sentence with release after 3 years.

 

The cops won't arrest Zimmerman. gotta be a good reason why.

 

Where did you get "detain" from? Every account said that Zimmerman "confronted" him. Big difference.

 

I figure they think he should be arrested for something but they (and the district attorneys office) are wondering

which will inflame racial tensions most:

1) Arresting Zimmerman and indicting him for a serious crime......and him being found not guilty.

2) Not arresting Zimmerman at all and hoping that it all dies down.

 

I've never heard of an incident where a victim of a violent crime gets convicted of manslaughter for simply defending himself from a crazed attacker. Now if Zimmerman simply wanted to kill hisself a negro, wouldn't he have fired more than one bullet into the little hoodlum?

The simple fact that "2) There was a physical struggle between Zimmerman and Martin." proves that Martin was the aggressor and Zimmerman acted in kind.

 

No, it was probably when the young man saw him pull a gun and grabbed his armed and the grappling sent them both to the ground.

How do you know Zimmerman didn't start the physical altercation. Its obvious more than one shot was fired. Zimmerman started this whole thread of events that ended up in this young man losing his life and you are trying to tell me he should get 3 yrs in prison. Thats a (*)(*)(*)(*)ing joke.

 

Citizens arrest only applies during the commission of a felony or after a felony. By Zimmerman's own words the kid looked suspicious which means he did not witness any crime.

 

Was the blood on Zimmerman saved for testing? Did the cops properly investigate and see if it was his blood? It's quite possible Zimmerman got some of the victim's blood on himself while shooting.

Since Trayvon was simply walking and minding his own business the only aggressor was Zimmerman.

 

Trayvon weighed a whole 140 pounds and it was Zimmerman who confronted him. How many more times can you look at Trayvon's picture and masturbate over the joy you find in an unarmed black kid getting killed?

 

The police report does not say Zimmerman was attacked. Do you think outright lying will help your position?

He didn't have to personally know Martin for it to qualify as premeditated.

The fact he got out of his car with his gun and approached a person simply walking down the sidewalk shows premeditation. He can't claim he took the gun for self defense because Martin was unarmed. He can't claim he was making a citizens arrest because Martin had not committed a crime.
