No. The police could have done a PROPER investigation at the scene and arrested him on suspicion of murder regardless of what lies he told. They did not breathalyze him. They did not impound the vehicle and search if for evidence. They did not ask him to tell his story WITHOUT leading questions. They did not accurately record the witnesses statements WITHOUT "correcting them." They NEVER carefully listened to the 911 tapes. They did not check the kids phone. They could have picked the thing up and dialed it back and spoken with another key witness before the witness could have seen the news. That would have been an awesome phone call. The girl was totally uncontaminated at that point and the police involved in either the WORST police work I have ever seen or a second rate cover up attempt totally skipped that little detail. There was enough evidence at the scene to slap some bracelets on that guy. The problem is you have to actually want to find it.

 

It's certainly not a hate crime at worst he thought he was a retard version of Batman, there were burglaries that were happening in the area not sure if the suspect is Black or not. Fact remains this guy did everything wrong and the police seemed to half ass the situation, now that a grand jury is convened I really don't see the point of more discussion on this until we find out if there is enough to go to trial.

I think there is enough for at least a charge, but like everyone else here you only know what you have seen and even then it could be found out to be different i.e. Casey Anthony. Only point of these threads now seem to be race baiting on both sides as evidenced by the other topic opened by someone looking to start trouble.

 

In fact we have Zimmerman's call admitting Trayvon ran away from him and that he was following him. We also have the witness who was on the phone with Trayvon when Zimmerman finally caught him, cornered him, questioned and then pushed him.

I have to agree, people say I sound White when I'm most assuredly not, I would not base the race of someone on their voice, but you can certainly guess it. This is irrelevant as Zimmerman's father has said he has identified himself as Hispanic and if people who are half black such as Obama can identify themselves as Black as they have done for centuries I do not see the problem with this.

Race only played a part in why he thought the kid was suspicious, I don't believe it was why he killed him thus the basis for hate crime charges seem really flimsy to me.

I simply do not believe it...Look at the threads on the shootings in France...Yesterday the forum was full of posts from the usual leftists attacking le Pen, nationalists, white racists, etc, as the french media was pointing the finger there. Today it comes out, exactly as expected, that the shooter was yet another Islamofascist and there is dead silence on the part of the left...the threads are dying..Their outrage is gone.

Why, because the shooter is a member of a PC group that cannot be attacked, regardless of behavior.

On this thread we have a black kid dead...I am absolutely certain that the same folk would be dead silent or in full defense mode of the Hispanic if the victim was white.

I don't know if Zimmerman is guilty of a crime or not and I've said I support a trial. What I don't support is people like Sky and Cigar ready to convict the man without actual evidence and use their own racism to fill in those gaps.

It only has relevance if one uses it as an observation...one cannot take outrage from the left very seriously when it's volume is determined by the color of the skin of the victim.

 

This wouldn't even be in the news if it was a black on black crime, because sadly, its fairly commonplace and not exactly newsworthy any more. If Trevon was white, it would've stayed local news in Florida, with maybe a blurb during prime time on NBC. That's about it. It became a big deal because it was a white guy shooting a black kid in a gated community. Now that its a Hispanic guy, watch the Liberal media shy away from it, because its suddenly not as newsworthy anymore. OR, they'll just ignore the Hispanic part completely now, because they wouldn't want to be considered racist or anything. Its all in the small details during the reporting, when they add race to the story when race shouldn't matter. But Liberals are always careful to make sure its FRONT AND CENTER. Its always about race.

 

Following someone is legal...being attacked while doing it is not...and again, the only real facts we have concern skin color....
