As Joe Biden becomes the new president in an economy already hurting from covid and covid lockdowns, he then goes on to hurt the economy even more by killing jobs for thousands of working Americans.

LIUNA - the Laborers’ International Union of North America, is not happy with Pres. Biden's decision to cancel the Keystone XL cancelling thousands of good paying jobs for union workers.

And this occurred during Biden's first few days, he still has a long time to do as much damage as he can. And in the case of the pipeline, he's hammering on special interest group to appease another special interest group (environmentalists) who make nothing, produce nothing, generate nothing, build nothing - all they ever do is whine and some of them are literally terrorists.

I will give the unions the same advise I'll give to any Biden voters who voice buyer's remorse, "SHUT THE F**k UP! BAD ORANGE MAN IS GONE! ENJOY!" :ignore:

The real job loss has yet to come. It will be from the opportunity lost from the EO that now suspends oil gas leases. Biden will ensure that this nation is dependent not a leader in the world.

If that happens, the nation can enjoy a huge increase in gas, electricity........ the list can go on a while.

When that happened under Obama, most of the pipelines moved to private lands where majority of them are still done today. Unfortunately, the Keystone was federal and now they are paying the Biden price.

That's how the DNC makes friends! The democrats history is always been paying people to like them, even their own base must be promised compensation and free stuff to get them to cast a vote in their favor..

Also wanted to add that Biden is helping to secure the mid terms for a turnover. I'm wondering how the unions will endorse from here on. This was a huge kick in the ass to many of the union associations.

This is only the beginning. Maybe we'll all meet each other in 2 years when Biden's crappy policies will have forced us all to live in tent cities by that time.

You would almost think that Biden didn't run on ending the keystone pipeline...oh he did.

So why are these unions surprised?

I too wondered why the unions endorsed him, or should I say the union CEO's since the majority of those workers are republican. He not only cancelled the Keystone pipeline but also put a 60 day hold on any new drilling permits. He is already known as a job killing president.

Which as you know means at least 60 day layoff for many on drilling rigs.

I will never understand the Democrats need to stop blue collar Americans from working. Meanwhile the press is asking Biden stupid sh#t like what flavor ice cream he likes.

If they are already drilling, they should already have permits so they'll be ok........ till Biden figures out a way to put them out of work too. Drilling can continue but no new permits for 60 days. Not sure what that's supposed to accomplish but we are dealing with a president who is obviously against blue collar working Americans as you said. Most of these jobs are well paying and support families and pay lots of taxes.

I'm thinking the 60 days will cause some rigs to be stacked later down the line due to lack of available contracts. Hope I'm wrong though.

Whatever it takes to kill some blue collar jobs and appease Biden's donors.

That was an ounce of intelligence. NOT!!! Unions are so in the bag for Democrats that they can't see the forest for the trees. Unions are supposed to be there to help their workers. But, Biden just put their workers on the sidelines. Not just those that directly worked on the pipeline, but all the other union jobs affected by the shutdown of the pipeline and the fracking ban. They cut off their noses despite their faces. And, Biden is just getting started! THE ORANGE MAN WAS GOOD! So enjoy your layoffs union people who voted for the imposter President Biden! :dual:

Has any modern president ever not killed a few jobs after assuming office with new policies? I mean really. Trump's trade war with China killed jobs. His revocation of environmental rules probably killed jobs in the green energy field. His steel tarrifs killed jobs.

Seems fairly partison to cherry pick policies and lament lost jobs but then refuse to see the big picture.

How about we wait a year or so and see how job numbers turn out overall?

What other president kills 10s of thousands of jobs within the first 48 hours of his term? Sounds like you're making excuses.

You are still cherry picking. How many presidents killed 300,000 jobs via a trade war before being in office 2 years? That number is particularly disturbing because that is after Trump threw billions of dollars of our tax money to help prop up those same jobs.

Look on the bright side though. Those 10k jobs you are touting were mostly temporary and most likely would have been manned by illegals like many other jobs our politicians look the other way on.

I"m not cherry picking. I'm literally stating a recent fact. Sorry if you don't like it.

No those jobs were union so no illegals and yes they are temporary, ALL pipeline jobs are. But they pay a LOT to those who work them. Stop trying to find excuses why it was okay for Biden to kill tens of thousands of jobs.

The trade war with China did not kill jobs in the U.S. It created jobs with many corporations coming back to the U.S. And, the trade agreements with Canada and Mexico created 10's of 1,000's of jobs and also in Canada and Mexico. But, Biden's executive orders are killing 10's of thousands of jobs. You have to remember the trickle down job losses to those that relied on the Pipeline work. His fracking jobs covered all the green energy jobs 10 fold. And, the fact is, the energy jobs weren't affected since they are in the private sector. Perhaps in China there were job losses. But, Trump is Americans first. Are you? You don't see the big picture anymore than Biden.

Not making excuses. Just wondering why you think losing jobs the first 2 days is worse then loosing that same amount on any other random day. Would you have been happy if he waited 2 years before killing it?

Do you know why Biden killed the keystones pipeline?

It has been a while but I am guessing Obama killed the keystone pipeline also but his overall job numbers were pretty good.

Patience. Let's see how how the job market is overall.

Just to verify that you didn't mistype this. Did you mean to say that Trump's trade war with China DID NOT kill jobs in the US?

Your reflexive reply, absent any facts provided by you to substantiate it, ignores the essential goal we must strive for. Much less use of carbon based fuels.
