Once again, as is always the case on these issues, the um Left, was right all a long. That is just the way of things. Chelsea Manning Free! Here Are Crimes She Revealed The Evil Empire 2002-2010 (not hyperbole). From the "Salvador Option" in Iraq to the suppressing a minimum wage increase in Haiti in 2009.
Odd that "had no strategic impact on US war efforts" is interpreted to mean "Had No Negative Consequences". Absurd. The leaked information could inspire thousands of Muslims to wage violent Jihad against America, leading to the deaths of 100s of additional soldiers, WITHOUT having any "strategic impact on US war efforts"
The Muslims over there already knew what the U.S. was doing in Iraq. It was only a secret to "us". From the article:
The leaks could have "caused serious harm to US national security" WITHOUT having any "strategic impact on US war efforts"
I'm tired of all this pathetic water carrying for the State. You think Washington gives a **** about national security? No, you don't.
If "The Bradley Manning Support Network" says he is innocent, then it must be true! I mean, that sounds like a SUPER unbiased source! Why do you people fall for every fake news, conspiracy theory, and slanderous story? Is your life really that small, that pretending the US does all this supposedly evil stuff, is all you have?
It's plenty enough. Good research by the Bradley Manning Support Network. It's always useful to check the footnotes if you're not sure about a source. Instead you just dismiss it outright because you don't like what it says. Whether it's true or not doesn't matter. That's why you don't know dick about any of the issues you discuss here. That's why you're on my ignore list.
I'm on your ignore list because I always call out your conspiracy theory threads. But others can read what I say about your posts so, I don't really care. What a hilarious post. Not a single one of your links is from a reputable source, and the ones that are semi-reputable are among the most biased in the media. Good game. /ass slap
"The belated publication of the analysis gives the lie to the official line maintained over several years that the leak had caused serious harm to US national security." Looks like yet another case of fake news? This is getting weird! If I catch someone lying to me my default is to never believe them ever again.
The Publication doesn't contradict the official line. The publication states that the leaks had no "strategic impact on US war efforts" and does not state that there was no serious harm
You're assumption is that whatever war crimes the U.S. commits should be kept a secret from the U.S. public and hence be continued unabated. Not that they should not be done in first place. None of this was a secret to the people over there at the wrong end of the stick. One could argue that what you're saying hurts national security because what do you think people from the Middle East think when they see people like you saying that it is more important to cover up such crimes than for the USG to just stop doing it? They won't unless the public knows about it.
My direct statement that "The Publication doesn't contradict the official line" doesn't include any such assumptions.
