    China Has Started Shooting Drones Down with “Laser Beams”
    November 3, 2014 ~ Something tells me that China may have put Dr. Evil in charge of drone control as the country has now started shooting drones down with lasers. And no, I’m not kidding.. China has today revealed its first anti-drone laser weapon which can bring down a drone in a matter of seconds after locating the target. Crikey.

    Imagine what it can do to fighters and other aircraft. The age of manned combat flight is coming to an end.

    NOTHING. Fighters and other aircraft fly at well above 1,600 feet and 100 mph. This laser is nothing to even get interested in. It's a focused energy beam, with almost no power at all.

    Ooh, yet another Chinese superweapon. There seems to be a new one every month.

    So, if China has all these wondrous superweapons, why they haven't conquered the globe?

    After stealth, now there will be mirror units to be invulnerable to laser rays [laser is a coherent "light" at a certain wavelength, so that to defend a unit against it, it's enough a "variable magnetic mirror" with the suitably corresponding reflex capability].

    Anyway, to make a general comment:

    wars are becoming more and more unsuitable for this little planet [and for human beings!].
