It will be decided by Israeli interests, of course, but they might need to conjure up another "Pearl Harbor-type event". No problem there.

Does every country have an AIPAC? Does China have a ACPAC?

When it comes to foreign relations, Glenn Greenwald is a better example of liberalism. A lot of Democrats are equally as hawkish as Republicans (sometimes more so), which is why I don't view many of them as being liberal in foreign policy.

    Similarly, libertarians lean against war.

That being said, Tehran may not be the most trustworthy government, but this agreement is the first progress made in years regarding diplomatic relations with Iran.

If Republicans kill this agreement over politics and Democrats help kill it over unsavory interests, then we'll know that DC is considerably less trustworthy than Tehran when it comes to actually having any interest in resolving this situation peacefully.

we defended Saudi Arabia from an Iraq invasion.

we destroyed Iraq, preventing an invasion of Saudi Arabia.

We let Saudi citizens leave the USA after 9-11, even though all international travel was on hold.

We have classified all connections between Saudis and 9-11.

I'm sorry you're obsessed with Israel, but we were discussing Iran's nuclear program.

Of course there is. Wouldn't you have a double standard towards someone who feels your property belongs to them, and someone who doesn't feel that way? The world consists of double standards, otherwise Iran wouldn't be looking at Israel as its enemy. The Iranians know very well that Israel has no intention of claiming lands which belong to Iran, so the double standard they hold is purely the double standard of: Dar al Islam.

First of all, Jews don't constitute anything close to a majority of voters in Northern Virginia. Secondly, he's not only a congressman but a senior member of the House Appropriations Committee, which not only makes him a somebody, it makes him more of somebody than you.

Now if you want to talk about unimportant provinces, let's talk about Alberta, Canada, which doesn't have half the population of the Commonwealth of Virginia...

Don't be foolish, the Democrats lost a presidential election because of the Cubans in southern Florida. If it hadn't been for them, we would have had relations with Cuba a long time ago. Carter became president because of the money the Greeks withdrew from the Republican Party over Kissinger and Cyprus. He never held a government position since then. Anyway these are just a few examples.
