I personally am basically pleased with the progress that President Trump's administration has made so far....... it may take a while before legal immigration from Mexico and South America to the USA is increased...... but what has been done so far were necessary steps to set the stage for that to eventually happen. A good point is made that criminal mayhem south of the border is a factor. Should we invade Mexico and Guatamala? What we see happening at the border now could be perceived as an invasion. Another point that is totally missed is the function of naturalization. Legal immigrants must take civics classes. An immigrant I know knew more about the constitution than I did, and I was forced to study-up. He was required to be functional in English, to read and understand ballot arguments IN ENGLISH, and infused with responsibility to be an informed voter. He is also a Trump supporter and a constitutionalist, by the way. Encouraging foreigners to put their own lives at stake, break our laws, flow into the country illegally and then receive amnesty only serves to create an ignorant underclass and a poorer country.
