Good question. I'd say that can be answered this way:

    American Culture
    https://culturalatlas.sbs.com.au/american-culture/american-culture-core-concepts

"The United States of America is a country comprising 50 states expanding over the southern half of the North American continent, with Alaska in the northwest and Hawaii in the Pacific Ocean. It is the third most populous country in the world, home to more than 328 million people. American society is strongly underpinned by moral and religious principles centering around Christianity (followed by approximately 70% of the population), as well as civic and political values of personal freedom, liberty and independence.

American society is highly culturally diverse, with the social, and religious make-up of the population having been shaped by a history of immigration. One commonly finds social attitudes, lifestyles and beliefs can differ significantly between regional, , socio-economic or partisan backgrounds. Considering this large demographic diversity, the following descriptions are unlikely to be representative of every American person’s experience or views. However, there are common themes and principles that contribute to the values, attitudes, beliefs of the dominant society."

Which specifically "Christian" values does the USA embrace?

I don't think the words "liberty" or "democracy" appear in the Bible, so those would definitely not be Christian values.

The Bible does enthusiastically endorse slavery, so that could be called a Christian value, but it's one that we rejected.

One could argue that the USA embraces values of western enlightenment, but that's a very different thing.

I think the biggest threat to Christianity are Christians themselves. I find it humorous that they have picked the cultural battle of The War on Christmas when it’s a pagan holiday and Santa Claus is a pagan idol. The same goes for Easter. It’s an ancient fertility rite and holiday. Rabbits don’t lay eggs. Then they elected Trump and followed his lies like a bunch of sheep. Electing an American demagogue and counterpart like Orban isn’t going to clean up the image of Christians or strengthen the religion. Christians are damaging themselves by following demagogues and liars like they are some kind of modern day prophets. If you want to “save Christianity” then start by cleaning up your own house instead of telling your neighbors how to live and be an American/Hungarian/Pole, etc.

Freedom of religion is a founding principle of my country. I am free to be of any faith I want.

They also have a sorted history with Jews. Keep them out? Many Jews, Muslims, and non religious groups were born in Hungary. Now what? Arrest and deport them all?

You can live anyway you want, but there are consequences both to you and your community.

Of course you can, no one has said otherwise. Orban is protecting his country from migrant groups that do not assimilate into Hungarian culture.

Yes, Hungary has had antisemitic periods in it's history, notably WWII. That is not true today, Jews are fully intigrated into Hungarian culture.

How do you define a Jewish person being fully integrated into Hungarian society put a Muslim person not being fully integrated?

I don't define it in that sense, national leaders and the people decide it. Personally I would never live in a primarily Muslim nation, but then, I'm not crying and gnashing my teeth about how they run their countries. BTW, Japan has some of the strictest immigration policies in the world. Does it bother you that Japan is using such policies to protect their culture?

There are some European countries like Lichtenstein that don't allow any immigration at all, but there is a difference between strict immigration policies and being biased and prejudiced against a certain group of people. In your case, you have singled out Muslims as a non-acceptable group.

I have been to Dubai. I would return. Turkey is another Muslim majority country. It's very beautiful and I know western people who have moved there, but I think it would be a better country without their current leader. Hopefully they fix that soon.

It's a fact that you're singling out Muslims as unacceptable and unwelcome. That's not an opinion, but I guess you're otherwise speechless and can't defend your prejudice any further.

Go ahead and laugh, but I live in middle America and yes people are stuck in the 50s. They want to MAGA, as if it ever was for some, but for the WASP crowd it was the golden age.
And it continues to be for a majority, the ideal of American society and culture. Does green bean casserole sound good?

Green bean casserole sounds great! A couple of dishes I learned to love when living in Connecticut were Jerk Pork and Callaloo.

Not really. But if someone else cooks it for me, I'll eat it.

What is your opinion of blacks, jews, asians and natives who live in middle america, drive pickup trucks, buy guns, hunt, go to church, listen to country music and vote for Trump? Are they 'WASP"? Do you think (other) 'WASP's resent them for their diverse genetic heritage?

You should try ackee and saltfish when you get a chance.
I would say people have quite a range of behaviors and racism can show up in any member of a culture, no matter the culture.

That doesn't really answer any of the questions I asked... unless you're suggesting that blacks, jews, asians and natives who live in middle america, drive pickup trucks, buy guns, hunt, go to church, listen to country music and vote for Trump must be racist. Is that what you're saying?

Yep, I've had it. In the Connecticut River valley north of Hartford there is a large Islands community, which started with immigrants coming to harvest the tobacco.

Dictator Viktor's perversion of Christianity is noxious to Christians.

The Hungarian authoritarian has revealed the hope of a kindred spirit to grovel before Putin and abandon democracy.

Trump will not fund Ukraine's fight against Russia's invasion if he is elected US president again, Hungarian PM Viktor Orban has said.

"He will not give a penny in the Ukraine-Russia war. That is why the war will end," the conservative premier said after meeting Mr Trump in Florida.

    Screen Shot 2024-03-11 at 12.41.39 PM.png

The former US president has pledged to end the war "within 24 hours" if elected - but provided no details.

Mr Orban is openly backing his long-term ally in the 2024 White House race.

Ending a war? How evil... Literally stealing the food out of the poor, starving weapons manufacturers mouths!
