You'll have to show me where the girls were attacked. Michelle was attacked because she used her bully pulpit to attack the US and got hit back. But children are ALWAYS off limits. Big, bi-partisan slapdown when Chelsea Clinton was made fun of... and no one said a word when the Obama daughter got busted for partying too hard. You can't control individual posters, but no news person, comedian, or famous personality derided the Obama girls.

Children are off limits - that's the rule among civilized adults.

Did you read (and understand) the links you provided?

In one, it described how Fox took down a site because readers posted unacceptable things about the girls. Bravo Fox.

In another, it reiterates how first kids are off limits and anyone who violates that should be fired. The GOP followed through and fired their staffer. Is Katie Rich fired yet?

In another, the gripe is about the cost of schooling - petty, but hardly denigrating.

You will always have individuals who post unacceptable comments - all that can be done is to remove the post. It is quite another when those comments come from a public person and the organization doesn't fire them for it.

And it is yet more worrisome that some should defend such reprehensible conduct.

 

There is a thread about the Obama "tribe" going on vacation on here. I reported it to the mods and they changed it to family. And in that popular thread nobody had told the OP that calling the Obama family a tribe was racist. I'm. Pretty much disgusted by everyone in that thread who didn't say a thing about the title.
