I tend to agree that the radical left is in charge of our children and that’s a scary thing. We must not let them be indoctrinated by this group. This woman knows better than anyone on here what communist tactics look like and how they are evolving in the United States today. We must make a stand against this.

 

To show her how ignorant she is the FBI is probably investigating her as a "Domestic Terrorist"... Good thing we have a staunch "Moderate" AG!

If that's what she thinks communism is, then yes. My knowledge of communism for exceeds hers. Hell, so does that of my 12 year old niece. There are probably rock collections with a better grasp of the subject. But it is hilarious to hear you complain about name calling in a thread devoted entirely to name calling. There's a phrase for when right wingers try to call anything they don't like communist. Hint: it is in German.

 

There are ways of doing things, tactics that work, that work the world over and cross cultural and ideological boundaries.

What you call a rant is actually an informed opinion based on experience. The "average Bigfoot Worshipper" never experienced bigfoot. The average liberal never experienced Mao. Although many older libs experienced wearing a Mao T-Shirt or buying the Little Red Book. It is Mao loving liberals who should move to China.

She doesn’t give much detail in the bit quoted of how the things she is distressed about happened. Beyond a sweeping notion that Mao’s China was supposed to be bad there isn’t much else.

 

Why is it communism? Why should only one group of people's history be taught at the exclusion of all others? America is a melting pot and it isn't right to say that everyone is equal when we want some people to be "more equal" than others. There are arguments about minorities on television, at the front of the bus, being targeted by law enforcement, last hired - first fired, higher interests rates on loans, harsher grading in schools, harsher sentences in the court room, etc..

If we want to use people for their talents and skills and expertise, isn't it only fair that they can sit at the table? Or, do we continue to exploit them and treat them like second class citizens?

It’s communism because the federal government is telling people what to think and silencing those who apposition them with the threat of law. Telling the DOJ to go after those parents who are speaking out. To find something to prosecute them for. It is communism.

No one is telling minorities they can’t have a seat at the table. However there are those telling these parents they can’t have a seat at the table.

Harsher grading in schools or just less academic scores for those who are under performing? Not sure how this is part of the topic but I’ll bite.

Outside math, every other discipline is subjective grading and it's been shown time and time again that white teachers grade minorities harsher than they do white students.

In college, one of my English professors told us the first day of class that "no darkie is going to pass". Sure enough, all the white students were given "A"s and all the minorities failed. The white students didn't even have to show up to class and they passed. Those that don't live or work in environments where these kinds of complaints are heard can easily dismiss them but that's not the country other people live in.

Aside from that the truth is that those who have "spoken out about critical race theory" is the political and extreme right. If they hadn't decided to make it into an issue, the left certainly would not have mentioned it since it was actually directed toward dealing with systemic racism and improving the situation.

But also important, based on your quotes from the article the woman was making a bogus equivalence based on empirical coincidence of just two flimsy items of "evidence". And as such this whole story is nothing more than a continuation of the political right's struggle to stop all efforts to end racism beginning with systemic racism. There is really nothing more to this anti-CRT crap than that and there never was. It is all based on an intentional, calculated misrepresentation of the facts.

BTW, the "radical left" consists of communists and they are pretty well isolated and discredited today, as well as VERY few in number. But we also know that the RW scare tactic of "COMMUNIST COMMUNIST COMMUNIST!!!!!" still works with a few people.

In a sentence, this Fox story is intended and designed to preserve racism and divide the forces working against it.
