These days the quarterback is just as likely to be black as any other race, and just as likely to be a great academic success also.

Thats because many were raised on the liberal welfare plantation to keep the votes coming in for that next check.
Fed and bred like cattle by leftest politicians and the new black slave masters like Sharpton, Jackson, etc, etc, etc,.
I see many blacks moving off these fatherless farms and realizing the plan. Of course since both parties are protecting the drug cartels and criminal controlled open border traffickers so we are all going down soon anyway, imo.
No border,no nation is just a fact.
" it's is a club and you ain't in it ", G.C. didn't like his filthy mouth at all ,but he did have a point.

So some victims just deserve it? Or only the ones you don't agree with? Your attitude on this part of the problem...

If this had been a kid in a BLM shirt beaten by whites, it would have been national news for weeks.

A white kid beaten up? No one gives a rat's ass.

First and foremost this story is 2 weeks old.

Second, your kid is retarded if he thought wearing a Confederate flag to school, in Baltimore of all places, was a smart idea.

Third of all, his ass should’ve been sent home from the start for that. That kind of clothing isn’t allowed in schools.

As far as I know, it hasn’t dominated our national discussion.

    Exactly.

So why was it posted in CURRENT Events?

Maybe I should post a story in this section about the Lincoln Assassination?

    All true.:salute:

I can't find any fault on the part of those who were offended by the obviously racist shirt, they're teenagers and ready to fight, that's a fact. I'm sure there were some heated words exchanged before the scuffle. This kids parents should have stopped him from wearing that shirt to school, especially a school in the South with plenty of Black students in his class. Emotions are running high, particularly between fringe elements like white nationalists and Antifa. This is not the time and school was not the place to wear a shirt depicting a flag that represented defense of slavery.

This thread has nothing to do with current events and I find this it racially divisive and can't understand why a mod hasn't deleted it yet.

If it has a significant racist, xenophobic or hate message, be my guest.

So you think wearing a Confederate flag shirt to school is inappropriate?

yes I do because it will cause a distraction and a safety concern not because I find it offensive but that student doesn't deserve an ass kicking for wearing it

The article states that the school’s dress code is intentionally vague, as ideas about what is and isn’t offensive and disruptive do change over time.

There’s a lot of questions that need to be answered before blame can be given. What was the boy’s intentions in wearing the shirt? It would seem, given certain current events, that the Confederate flag is very offensive to many people, and not just African-Americans. It’s not illogical to suspect that he intended to be offensive. That doesn’t mean he deserves to be attacked, but it would be a detail that could lessen the overall punishment of the attackers.

As far as placing blame on teachers, my first thought is when did it happen? Early or late in the day? Did anyone report it as offensive? Generally speaking, we teachers try not to send students home too often. It involves notifying parents and having one of them come get him. We’re also still responsible for the student’s safety while they leave school under school hours if the school decided to send him or her out. Unless the student’s outfit significantly and obviously violates code, we tend to let it pass. The shirt is not directly offensive, so if no one notified the teachers about how the students were reacting to the shirt, I doubt there’d be a good case to sue any teachers—maybe the district, though.

There’s definitely plenty of room, however, to sue the students who made the attack. They have no right to attack someone for how they dress regardless of how offensive it may be. They should have taken their case to either a teacher, or even better, directly to administration. One thing all teenagers need to learn before they become adults is self-control. Suing these students would be a perfect lesson in it.
