    For the first time in American history, the 400 wealthiest people paid a lower tax rate than any other group, according to a new study by economists Emmanuel Saez and Gabriel Zucman at the University of California, Berkeley.

    Comparison to the 2016 Republican primary:

    Sanders = Trump (the outsider)

    Buttigieg and Biden = Cruz and Rubio (the race for 2nd place)

    Warren = ? - Maybe Carly Fiorina, hoping to be someone's VP choice

    Klobuchar = John Kasich, the eternal optimist who refuses to drop out

    Steyer = Anyone who dropped out early and was forgotten in six months

    (Can't find an equivalent spot for Bloomberg. No one "bought" the nomination in 2016.)

    Same way the income tax was until they passed 16th Amendment making it constitutional. The federal government cannot pass a direct tax on the citizens. They would have to pass an amendment to allow the government to tax the wealth of citizens and I assure you that is the LAST thing we want in this country which is based on your right to your private property. Besides that they don't work as 10 or 11 countries in Europe who tried one found out.
