Love the exterior and performance of the SRT8. Do not like the plasticy interior. Did they change that yet?
OK,I stand corrected.Mustang surprised me.The new Boss 302 is a force to be reckoned with.I rid myself of the traditional Big Muscle car Live rear axle years ago.But somehow it doesn't effect the new Boss.In fact,it may help to alleviate the overcompensation of ALL WHEEL Drive.EVO's tend to oversteer.Meaning they respond too severly to wheel turn.TOO agile and responsive. But on back roads they still rule.Still have great figure 8 times. I want a car that handles, first and foremost. I will be test driving a Boss 302 at a dealer maybe this week as the weather heats up. I was serioulsy considering the new mustang when they debuted in 2005. They came out late.Supposed to debut in mid-feburary but weren't at dealers till mid march.By that time a real sweet red RS EVO was begging for an owner. I still am leary of parting with the best ride,by far I've ever owned. I just had a puncture on my rear wheel last friday in downtown Louisville. I couldn't believe what I ran over.Looks like part of a broke off sewer grate. It was like a big chunk of Indian arrowhead.Stuck smack dab in the center of the tire.I heard the tire as it leaked over my radio.I knew the sound was unnatural.I quickly pulled off the main drag.Changed the tire.
The entire vehicle is new from top to bottom in 2011. Only thing that carries over are the Hemi engines.
Again,Hemi is an old, very old engine design, means nothing. Don't get hung up on words. Like I explained earlier ... Cowl Induction or 6-pack { Plymouth "Cuda " }. Stick to substance over form.
No, actually, the current Hemi has only been out since 2005. It was the only thing carried over in the new Grand Cherokee. (The base V6 is the new 3.6 DOHC Pentastar motor.) Are you intoxicated?
Look up Hemi and see what is means. It means hemispherical combustion chamber for a better combustion rate. Been around since early 1900's { earliest grand prix racing }. Harley Davidson used the design in the 80's with it's Shovelhead. Again, yer getting trapped with the word as if magically it conjures up horsepower and speed and drag racing.
Has anybody see the specs for the 2013 Shelby GT500?...its insane. I hear 600hp. I also heard that shelby will have optional superchargers to take it up to about 700-800hp and in the 600ft-lb - 700ft-lb of torque range. I can probably tow a trailer with kind of torque given I adjust my gears correctly.
So,yer Hemi is different that all the Hemi ...Before. For some unknown and arcane reason,This Hemi a yourn is unique like no other Hemi before. To be classified a Hemi means something. A Hemispherical combustion chamber.Yeah.maybe it's tweaked. But a Turbo is still a Turbo.A Supercharger still a supercharger. get me drift. Fuel Injection changes but it's delievery system still remains basically the same.
You don't even know what th'ell yer talkin' about. ALL you know is the word ... HEMI. Just slap HEMI on a car's hood and that's all it takes.
so after alot of thought of my next project i have come to a conclusion, im gonna do a motor swap on the M3. thinking an LS3 motor with STS turbo system hehehehe!!!!!!! after that this car will be only a weekend driver and im gonna buy another car lol.
not a waste at all, just doing something fun. as also since ill have a spare S54 lying around ill throw that into a e30 model 325i and make it my daily driver so basically 2 fun projects back to back lol.
I have a 2009 Dodge Charger R/T AWD. Handles nice in the snow and I can still pretend I have a true sports car. My wife has a 2009 Ford Fusion AWD. It handles pretty good in the snow. Of course she took my car this morning because she claims it handles better in the snow and we just got 3". I know she has a lead foot and likes the Charger's acceleration, so she takes my car every chance she gets.
The new Camaro ZL1 is sure a bad A$$ vehicle.A little heavy but with a special rear end with aggressive tracking/handling capability,it sets a new standard for an American sports car in traditional muscle car vein.Kinda overkill with H.P. and Torque. But it works and is apparently seemless. Can easily be used as a daily commuter. At $54,ooo it's a great option in lieu of an M3
The new Camaro would be nice...well, if it wasn't carrying 500+lbs too much lard, and if it wasn't absolutely hideously ugly.
um no offense but for just $6k more you can have an M3 that doesnt weigh as much as well as have extremely tight handling, all the luxury a sports car could need and an actual comfortable back seat lol, if ya know what i mean hehehe. the camaro is nice though, but i like a car that has the power and the handling that will get me through a hard turn at 60-70mph
The M3 is not generally available.it is too limited a production car. Of course so is the Evo.I saw an orange Boss 3o2 that is considered by far THE best mustang ever.It sells for $42,ooo but is marked up in some markets.I'll hve to forgo my next new car, even though I was contemplating a that new Camaro.I just got a speeding ticket and now have 6 pts.Another ticket and I lose my License. And I had a really good Traffic record, also.Like just one parking ticket in the last 12 years.
eh you dont need an M3 anyways, i wouldnt buy an M3 brand new because to be honest you can wait 3 or 4 years and get them for a very affordable price with low miles and hardly abused. people who buy M3's USUALLY lol take care of their car so they are a safe bet when buying used, plus carfax is your friend and knowing what to look for in an abused car is a plus. if i had to honestly right now choose a BMW to buy brand new id look no further than a 335ixDrive coupe. twin turbo'd 300hp AWD for about $45000. the money extra i had left over instead of buying an M3 would be put into aftermarket parts and id have a much better beast in no time. but thats just Bimmer talk. i like the new Boss, its simply a friggin road coarse warrior, havent liked a Mustang this much since the 03'-04' cobras which are still my favorite as they are so so easy to get major HP out of its ridiculous. and BLAH on the Evo, havent like them since the Evo 9, the new models are (*)(*)(*)(*) in my opinion, same as the newer STI's as i havent liked them since 05' . might i recommend a Nissan 370z??? now there is a joy on wheels and is very affordable. decent power, fun handling and the engines growl is like melted buttah and its just a sexy looking vehicle. not many cars you can get better for $30k.
I took the Avalon to the dealer for service this afternoon - oil change, engine and cabin air filters changed, the usual routine maintenance - and while I was waiting, I walked around the showroom floor and saw one of these -- I'd never seen a Scion iQ until this afternoon, and I must admit that it looks like a neat little car - strong emphasis on "little"! It's got a lot of room in the front for two people, but the area behind the seats is small, real small, real real small! It has 50/50 split bench seats in the rear, and while I suppose that a person could ride back there, they'd have absolutely zero legroom unless the driver or passenger moved their seats forward. If you had a baby in a car seat it would work great, but for anything larger - anything from about four years old on up - they'd have no legroom. I didn't notice what options it had or didn't have, just that the MSRP was about $16,500. I don't think I'd want to road trip from Atlanta to Dallas in one, but as an urban commuter car, or a car that college kids use while they're in school, I'd imagine Toyota/Scion will sell a bunch of these!
eh, id just shovel up the extra $6k or so and buy a 4 door jetta lol. although that car would be ok i guess for your kids first car, although id worry about its chances in a wreck lol.
