Perhaps you don't understand the type. Ms Duckworth is like so many other super eager but astonishingly non detail oriented folks who really thrive on the idea, but aren't interested in the actual practical application of operational security that would actually have likely saved her from being injured in the first place, or putting her crew at risk from her attitude. That she was injured is regrettable, and as you suggest, it was her choice. I interpret her lack of regard for the safety of her crew as a remarkably selfish attitude, one that I am sure endears her to her liberal friends. But it is a false front. I'm reminded of Ellen here. And while I have never directly met ms Duckworth, her resume proceeds her, and from the accounts surrounding her service, it is not unfounded.

And she argues that the belief of a Catholic disqualifies one from Federal Office, even though the US Constitution specifically forbids Religious Tests.

Kamala Harris is the most openly anti-Catholic bigot to be on a national ticket in modern times. Harris’ record is perfectly clear. She is openly anti-Catholic in confirming federal judges, wanting to prosecute the Little Sisters of the Poor, closing Catholic Hospitals that don’t join her union allies, and favoring taxpayer-paid abortions up until birth (in fact, she has twice voted against bills that would ensure that babies who lived through abortion procedures get medical care).

In many ways, Harris’ bigotry against Catholics is a perfect example of the modern radical left’s ideology of intolerance.
