I vote for who and what I think is best for America, unlike liberals who say "what's in it for me".

Depends on the election, and the candidates/issues. I have voted based on my feelings about the character of the candidates. I've voted party line. I've voted single issue, if that was the only difference between candidates. I've voted based on my wallet. I've voted for the lesser of two evils. I wish it had been a multiple choice poll. I would have made multiple choices.

He hasn't changed the Catholic view on aboriton and gay marriage. The church is still against them. The Pope just doesn't think they should be the primary issues.

I think most vote with the misguided notion that they are voting for a lesser evil.

    Hilarious.

The thread title intrigued me, but unfortunately the poll asks instead, "what decides what candidate you vote for on election day". A very different question. Now, I chose "other" on the poll, because my #1 criteria is "will this person intrude into my life with government, or not".

As to the question, "what do you vote with", my favorite thing with which to vote is my feet. It is the most effective way to vote, immune to voter fraud, and truly democratic in a way that "representation" is not.

I vote for who I think will do the best for the American people. I have voted for republicans and democrats on the same ticket. I did not vote for Obama so I think I made a very good choice.

I did do my write in last election as "no republicans", instead of Mickey Mouse. I thought that was more direct.

Republican/Democrat it's the same thing only different. They both get their marching orders from the same corporate international bankers! The freedom of choice we have is just an illusion. Should the American public vote in the wrong person, that person will be taken out just the same as JFK.
