No, scholars admit it is more Judaism, particularly an emphasis on God being One This was a big deal in the beginning of Islam since Mohammad was having Allah supplant the many other gods which were being worshipped in Mecca and had been for centuries. Muslims see Christ as one of the Prophets and even admit his divine nature but don't go far beyond that

Michael Moorcock is considered one of the major fantasy authors of the 70's and 80's. Another is Philip K. Dick :D

Yet most scholars say he was more influential on Christianity than even Jesus himself. Jesus laid down general principles, Paul wrote rules.

There is a well of human DESIRE, from which religions spring. Thus, it is expected that they will be similar.

We NEED a savior, as we fear death. That is the cheap selfish reality. So, we create all manor of distractions, and pseudo guarantees.

It is true that St. Paul on his own could have spread the Christian message without any help from any of the others.

He even could have come up with his own message and spread that.

Jesus is the source of his message.

St. Paul and Constantine The Great are the two main messengers of it.

You don't really need any of the others, although St. Peter is credited with converting Rome whereas St. Paul converted Greece.

If Christ hadn't have existed, I'd probably be circumcised by one God or another.
