Interesting. The US started the Iran Iraq war? How did that work exactly?

 

Don't confuse the conspiracy theorists by asking for facts.

 

I doubt, in the event of Iran actually getting materials together to begin construction of an actual bomb, we'd put troops on the ground in Iran... After Iraq and Afghanistan, there isn't a politician alive that would risk their career on such a move. However, that being said, it is in the interest of National and World security that Nuclear proliferation not be allowed. A case example is India and Pakistan. One got the bomb, so the other had to. If Iran becomes a nuclear power, everybody else in the middle east will feel the need to have one. It's not a question of if, it's historical doctrine. Every time a military advantage has been achieved, all those who run the risk of being caught opposite that faction rush to achieve the same advantage.

Our country has a poor philosophy for the last 20 years of trying to keep potential enemies away with Fear of our hammer, which hasn't worked. What we need to do is be invested in the interests of other countries; make them reliant on a relationship with the US, not just threaten to stop playing with them (sanctions) or throwing a fit (air strikes).

Iran doesn't have the capability to launch a nuclear missile with range to hit the US.

The US isn't "controlled by Jews".

The Iran navy is a joke but they do have some pretty good anti ship missiles .. though not as good as Syria.

Regardless .. shortly after aggression begins .. Iran will fire thousands of missiles at US bases in the area which will utterly destroy them. It will also fire hundreds, if not thousands of missiles at Israel ..

In the end the West will win of course .. but it wont be pretty.

While Iran does possess a lot of missiles, they have a much lower inventory of missile launchers. At most, they might launch a salvo of maybe 24 missiles that could reach US bases. And even fewer that can reach Israel (most place the number of those launchers at less then a dozen). Then US and other forces will go "SCUD hunting", trying to take out the launchers. And even if they do not hit many, they will constantly be on the move, which will reduce their effectiveness.

But no, no "thousands of missiles", not even close.
