I don't think so. Christians say almost nothing about the use of sex to sell products and the impact this has had on society. Instead they work against the efforts to educate people about contraception and the movement to accept diverse sexual orientation. Religion says clearly that they do not care at all about the real situation. Instead they care completely about unrealistic judgmental dogma.
No....and No. I would have hoped it was clear from my statement, but understand this would require a level of critical thought to grasp.
I knew all that, but it did serve to illustrate my point rather well. Perhaps I should have used a country with lotsa people and lotsa atheism - like Japan
I am an atheist and I don't have a problem with people having a belief in religion but I do have a big problem with people like the ones in this video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fdnWwlZCsSw
You know, if all atheists or even most of them were like sam harris, they would be so much more tolerable. But many of them even find harris detestable. LOL. Which speaks more to atheism as a dogmatic religion than it does atheism.
theist are a group of people that want to continue with their immoral behavior with and believe all their sins will be forgiven by the killing of one man course we know, neither of those is true of all atheists or all theists, but what they hey .
Can't you feel all that christian love of their fellow man oozing out of those pious, wonderful god fearing people? I particularly like "spout scientific gibberish at me" - yep, those five words pretty much sum up the atheist argument in the eyes of theists. - - - Updated - - - Can't you feel all that christian love of their fellow man oozing out of those pious, wonderful god fearing people? Agreed. More and more people are moving away from religion, forcing religion to "adapt or die", but that doesn't mean they are becoming atheists.
That may be true, but it means the next generation will be raised without the weekly dose of dogma and with contact with a social network not based around church gatherings. Given the freedom to reach their own conclusions, it seems obvious there will be a climb in secular tendancy.
