It's a common enough problem, as evidenced by all of human history. That doesn't mean we're all exactly the same in our views and feelings, but on the whole that is how we tend to behave. Even our ape cousins do likewise.

As I've also indicated, though, we can become aware of the problem and work to overcome it. As for what I see in myself, I don't consider myself racist, but I certainly do recognise my capacity and potential to be that way. Another closely related phenomenon is stereotyping, and who doesn't engage in this from time to time? I see it all the time on this forum in the neverending leftwad vs rightwad back-and-forth.

racism is not a natural state.

only someone with racism in their heart would feel that was true

Most likely they'll do the same things black racist did when the Democrats nominated their minority.

I'm confused. Do you mean white racists in general or just those involved with the GOP?

True.....Cruz looks "Irish" enough they might ignore it. But he'd have to run on "I'll shoot every gawddamn illegal I find and hang their bloody corpses from lamp-posts" on immigrants.

Bluespade, do you realize how fast ANY hint of the possibility of the GOP being racist would disappear...forever...if they nominated an African-American for President.

Not just some joke or "show" candidate running in the Primaries who stands no chance (Alan Keyes, Herman Cain, Ben Carson).....but say actually nominating Senator Tim Scott.

That would be it.....game over. It would be IMPOSSIBLE for anybody to accuse the Republicans of harboring a lot of racists....if an African-American won its Nomination for President, even if he didn't win in the General Election.

But you know what the problem with that idea is.....it WILL NOT HAPPEN, likely for another 25-30 years, until all those old George Wallace voters that Nixon and Reagan pandered to...die off.

Ya, that's a crock of (*)(*)(*)(*). Herman Cain was called a uncle tom by liberal's favorite plantation pet, Al Sharpton. White Liberals didn't think twice too defend that slimebal. Republicans could put a transgender handicapped black midget in office, and you would still play your class an race cards. That's because it's apart of your ideology, and might as well be apart of your DNA. Your hideous ideology needs people like you to spew divisiveness
It needs conflict between the haves and have-nots, friction between races. Your ideology is a parasite.

That seems absurd. The Dems have a racist field day on Black Republicans (although curiously, not on Latin or Asian ones). You mentioned Tim Scott. He's been "Uncle Tom'd" by you guys since he's been in the Senate. Actually this whole thread shows how race obsessed you are. The common sense position should be to nominate the most qualified and most electable candidate, not to take a melanin test of the potential candidates to try to "prove" a negative.

You remind me of Chris Matthews, who was so proud of himself for forgetting Obama was black for an hour.

Must have been the longest hour of his life!

Then why is it that George Wallace lost the Republican nomination? Yeah, the republican mainstream caters the voters of loser fringe candidate who didn't even get 10 percent of the Republican vote...

You are either A: a lair 2: stupid or 3: willfully ignorant.

Regardless of the facts that contradict your position, you will always believe in fantasies of persecution of minorities by racists that you can even substantiate with facts. You are a lost cause and I am tempted to put you on ignore. Its always a conspiracy with you people.

Cruz has already done his share of pandering, and for that matter so has his father.

    They know their base.

Heh, this is hilarious coming from a group of people who have "white guilt" as a regular part of their vocabulary since 2008 (coincidently I'm sure).

Let's not pretend conservatives give a damn about the use of the word "Uncle Tom" among a group of people they don't even like.

All indications are that there are more bigots and racists infesting the Left than the Right. Just ask Brown skin-toned George Zimmerman about hate filled, bigoted, and racist leftwingers.

Oh I do give a damn when it's used against one of our people, which is exactly the situation I was mentioning in the previous post, so it seems to make your post a bit nonsensical. I'm not even sure what "white guilt" had to do with anything discussed in this thread.

Republicans aren't going to nominate a minority for president any time soon. They're far too anti-minority and pro white male right now to do that.

Its true, Marco Rubio and Ted Cruz are white. Plenty of cubans like Marco Rubio are of white european descent. Spaniards are white people. Mestizos are not white.
