Once you take a look at this three minute video you will have a better idea as to why I have been on such a different page than Mr. Al Gore when it comes to the subject of stabilization of the climate. I couldn't offer an informed opinion on the topic. I was born in Newfoundland, but don't remember it. How's the weather at St. John's? The old photos my parents have showed snow and ice. I'd like to go for a visit, maybe before it floats away, but not in the winter.
I am now living in Mississauga and a friend at work today said that they had spoken by phone to a friend who is now living in New Brunswick. Here in Mississauga there is almost no snow on the ground but in New Brusnwick they had two feet of snow this week, it is still snowing...... and the plows are not even plowing the roads yet........ they gave up!!!!!!
Wow. I'm in North Carolina now, but for a while I lived in NW Pennsylvania. I don't miss snow at all. If it snows here, we usually end up waiting until the snow melts. It's rarely enough for plows. We are supposed to get some cold weather coming in tomorrow. Lows in the teens. I got out my kerosene heater just in case.
I have to admit that I would love for my wife and I to be able to make it to Miami area for the winter months....... if not for the entire year. We have a lot of family down there and I would like to see my wife able to see her mom and dad and many other family members on a regular basis. I do feel that the economy of both Canada and the USA are both set to boom......... once Biden is removed........ I honestly do feel that his days of being in charge are numbered! I really don't think that Biden will make it all the way to 2024!
My parents moved to Yuma, Arizona about 15 years ago to get away from the Pennsylvania winters. When I was visiting once, I met a father and son from Canada (Ontario, I think they said). The son had moved to the area for a job, and the father was visiting. We met on a path used by hikers. It's like climbing a mountain, though it's called a foothill. The father shamed me because I was out of breath and he was zipping along like it was nothing. But he said he loved winters in Yuma. Winters are pleasant, summers are intolerable. Haven't been to Florida in a while. I was never a fan. Summers are rough, and it just doesn't look like in the photos. Kind of trashy in so many places. But...like Yuma, winter weather is great. Hope you make it down there soon. Save your pennies. Maybe someday I'll make it up to St. Johns.
Just be glad you're not still up here in PA. My area isn't projected to get a huge dump of snow(I'm 40 minutes south of Erie who got 60+ inches of snow on Christmas 4 or 5 years ago), but with wind chill it's supposed to be 20 to 30 below from Friday night until Sunday when the wind is supposed to pass.
Actually....... the threat of rising ocean levels and the possibility of a major Magnetic Polar Shift would be issues that we could blame on The Being of Light of near death experience fame, (our probable Creator), but there is no way that modern humans can take credit for the cycle of major Magnetic Polar Shifts IF the Immanuel Velikovsky theories and the Graham Hancock statistics regarding the addition of H2O to Antarctica is accurate.
