The article doesn't really say that the Catholic Church agrees with the hospital and we don't know of any church official is on the hospital staff. The lawyers do what lawyers do. You're going to need more than an article on the Huffington Post.

Can't you see that it all changes when there is money involved, just like the majority of pro-lifers want nothing to to do with a fetus once its born and certainly don't want their tax dollars being used for the only proven method of reducing abortion .. education and contraception.

There are some interesting comments below this article at the link. Brilliance on Demand said, "Fetuses are babies! fetuses are babies! fetuses are ba- what? This stance will cost us money? Of COURSE fetuses are not babies!!!"

Ditto when it might cost a Republican VOTES.

A GOPer will be all "we must protect the unborn" during a primary or before a friendly "pro-life" crowd?....but if it looks like it might cost them an election by coming out to forcefully against choice?

They back off. Suddenly "protecting the unborn" becomes less important than getting elected and getting re-elected.

It's a tragedy that Lori Stodghill was only 31 years old and had to die from a sudden heart attack.
