    Bush was part of the problem even though he did help pass a spending bill that saved the banks. Obama has done a good job trying to help the economy and it now seems as if it is working even though he did spend too much.

    I see, if things go bad, it's Bush's fault, if they go well, it's due to Obama.

    Got it. :rolleyes:

    There is nothing to be gained by doing anything about unemployment. Their constituents are hooked on topics such as abortion, gun control, lowering taxes and important things like that, not about the real problems in our society.

    Bush bankrupted us by spending like a drunken sailor in Iraq. He takes the cake, right in his face for that. There was a surplus before he took office and he spent until we are broker than broke.

    That's why we have the problems that we now have, not to mention Bush gave corporate welfare out way before Obama did.

    Let's keep history factual, guys.:bonk:

    The bolded part is the only part I disagree with. There are many reasons why we're in this mess. That's just part of it.

    Where is the "I don't care and 'jobs' is just a guilt-trip and desperate statement liberals make to argue for increased government spending"?

    Republicans should campaign on this slogan.

    This is the stupidest troll poll I've seen for a while. Of course no point in voting in it. For dumb liberals who just don't get it, CONGRESS DOESN'T CREATE JOBS! The jobs need to be created not by congress, but by a thriving private sector and a growing free enterprise system that is not overincumbered by federal regulations. Only when that enviroment is created will the jobs be created and the economy recover.

    The only thing the congress can do is lower spending and cut regulations, but they will have to fight the loser democrats in the Senate, and the incompetent president in the White House.

    I don't agree, every time our private sector job growth was strong, incumbering federal regulations were always there right alongside it.

    I do agree that congress doesn't create jobs. The myth circulating amongst revisionists leads some to believe Ronald Reagan created jobs. The President is no more able to create jobs with policies than the congress is. The number one goal of a President, except Lyndon Johnson, is (was) to get re-elected. The economy is always the biggest factor in a President's chances of being re-elected. I'm sure we've never had a President so stupid that they would knowingly sabotage job growth. So if the President could create, or even affect job growth in a positive way...we would always have 0 unemployment.

    The idea that Republicans are going to be able to create more jobs than Democrats, or even create a more favorable climate for job growth, is a foolish notion indeed.

    I very clearly remember the criticism of Obama from the right since February 2009 for his inablility to create jobs. Republicans ran on job growth and that was a big part of the house victory. Now congress can't create jobs???..................why isn't this contradiction intellectualy repulsive to you?

    Speaking of which, it is now month 3 and nothing.

    Now, I don't expect the House to actually create jobs. All I'm asking for is just plan.

    Hell, I'll settle for a suggestion or even just a comment on how to create jobs.

    But so far not even a peep.

    They got their tax cut! Where's our jobs!

    I guess you were worried about jobs not being created under four years of dem controlled congress, and two years of a dem controlled white house. Something tells me no. So, you hypocrite much? Something tells me yes.

    The Republicans haven't begun any proposals on job creation. Republicans haven't begun to target defense, social security, and medicare spending cuts. Republicans haven't done anything but try to bust unions, redefine the definition of rape to support pro lifers, run Big Bird out of town, and make excuses about why they can't keep thier campaign priomises "just yet".

    Some historical, ground breaking, never heard of before victory. :fart:

    Righties will accept every excuse made by Republican politicians and Fox News, which are the same people, and righties on this site will argue them like it was the word of God, with no real regard for thier legitimacy.

    Ya, and if they don't focus on jobs and cutting spending they're going to pay next election. But please tell us what dems did for jobs the last two years. What did cap&tax have to do with jobs, or that cluster (*)(*)(*)(*) of a bill obamacare? Not a god (*)(*)(*)(*) thing.

    How is 1 out of 3 supposed to overtake 2 out of 3...

    Do you liberals have any clue how congress works? You have had the majority since 2006, you did nothing.

    The GOVERNMENT does NOT "create" JOBS! What they are suppose to do is make it easier for the PUBLIC to do so!!! And, as soon as they get it that...it will happen.

    They aren't going to get that...if people keep asking them to actually "create" something.

    After the budget issues of the past couple of days I thought this would be a good time to resurrect this poll to remind everyone that over the last several days one word you never heard the Republicans speak was the word "jobs".

    So unemployed Republicans how's that angry, bittery-ness working out for ya?

    Republicans = globalized crony capitalists.

    Democrats = globalized market socialists.

    America = nation.

    Globalists = anti-nations.

    Voting in globalists, expecting them to fix a nation, is retarded.

    I can't make it any simpler.

    One of the smartest posts I've seen in a while let me fix things just a bit.

    Republicans = globalized corporatists

    Democrats = globalized half and half defeatists.

    America = Worlds Police

    Globalists = Lobbyists.

    The last thing republicans should do is make jobs for people. Their first priority is drastically cut spending.

    The private sector will create the jobs if government leaves it alone.
