White Fragility.

Worked a few months at a construction site in Chicago. The union electrical crew consisted of about 14 white guys and two Blacks.
The white guys refused to use power tools provided...like cutting 1 1/2"pipe using a hack saw instead of the electric saw.
One would just disappear on Friday afternoon and expect to get paid for it. When asked by the foreman why...he said I've been doing
that for 15 years. They found out the foreman was planning on firing some of them so one decided to have himself appointed the Union steward
so he couldn't be fired. As I recall...the foreman fired him anyway.
They whined and complained....worked at about half the speed as the two Blacks, but they were all from the same local.
I asked the younger Black why that was...he said "because we have to."

 

I don't expect you to....but there is a book written by Trevor Noah called "Born A Crime"
As you can tell, I'm no scholar...am barely literate, but it's probably the best book I've ever read.

Three decades of both parties going in whole-heartedly for globalization (as I mentioned in the post). That widened the wealth gap and the people are angry at the lost opportunities that both old-school parties have taken away from them.

On today's left-wing spectrum: Classical Liberalism is more popular than Socialism is more popular than traditional Marxism is more popular than the Cultural Marxism which wants a revolution to "Make America Racist Again. Shades of grey is more popular than "black or white".

 

Would you be happy if you could write a best-selling book and make a million in one year? I would be. Sanders will retire happy.

I have White friends who agree with me that White privilege is alive and well in the USA. One of them is a lady I went to school with who was married to a Black man. She saw first hand the racism he faced. And she is now concerned about her three children. She speaks about this issue often. She is even more outspoken about it than I am.

 

I read that book. Trevor Noah is a gifted writer and he has a fascinating life story.

 

Those Black guys were scared to complain. They knew their White co-workers would figure out a way to get even with them if they did. Blacks are frequently put in this position.

 

I'll refrain from playing the virtue-signalling game of who has the most ethnically diverse set of friends between you and me, or which of us may have the highest number of interracial acquaintances.

I'm glad your friends agree with you.

My friend is middle class. She is retired now after working for about 40 years. She is not rich and entitled. She may lean towards liberals; I know she doesn't like Donald Trump.
So, are poor, hardworking, conservative Whites more likely to be xenophobic?

If they believe that racially discriminating against members of their own unions or within related industries will, in any way, enhance their audience numbers --- sure. Let them stop hiring whomever they want. Then be prepared to suffer the consequences.
