The warnings were based on US intelligence assessments, but they were vague, the people said – it was not clear from the warnings who might be responsible for any attacks on the pipelines or when they might occur.

Your source stinks to high heaven please stop posting misinformation and links that are not credibly sourced... it is the very reason you should stop solely relying on fake news CNN....

I referenced over the summer to a few months ago, at the time it was perhaps a few weeks before Russia sabotaged their own pipeline because putin didn't like the black market supplying Europe and cutting him out of the profits. Whoops, there's the motive.
