    ALL human's have Rights.

A woman CHOSE to have sex knowing that she could get pregnant. As such she voluntarily chooses to get pregnant. So no, not what happened with slaves as they did not choose to enter slavery willingly. I've told you this before. Repeating what you said and ignoring the difference does not make you somehow right.

And men CHOOSE to also have sex - why are you not blaming them too?

BTW you still have not established that a ZEF is a human

They are equally to blame and when the child is born they will pay the price. Its been that way for many decades now.

I see you avoided my other response that was actually addressed to you. So I'll just copy paste the relevant part.

The fact that Roe V Wade just got overturned is a pretty clear indicator that what you said was certainly mistaken.

Plessy v Ferguson was once "settled law". In fact it lasted longer then RvW. Do you still wish that it was around?

You're trying to prove apples with oranges...

Slaves had their rights taken away, their right to bodily autonomy

STATE WHY YOU THINK THAT'S NOT A FACT!!!!!!!!

BIOLOGY 101 : Women CANNOT CHOOSE to become pregnant...they could have sex a thousand times each time "choosing" to get pregnant and still NOT GET PREGNANT.
AND GETTING PREGNANT SHOULD NOT BE A CRIME LIKE YOU WANT IT TO BE!

    Here we go AGAIN:

OH YA WANT TO TALK ABOUT SLAVERY ???!

    OKEY DOKEY

IF abortion is banned it means that women lose their right to bodily autonomy, exactly what happened to SLAVES.... freedom and liberty destroyed by REPUBLICANS

So what is the definition of “human” 46 chromosomes? How then do we classify people who have trisomy? Obviously if we also count “human” as someone who has DNA different to that commonly shared then the definition of “human” cannot be based on DNA alone.

Chimpanzees share 98.8% of their DNA with us - which is probably more than some sad genetic aberrancies seen in variance that is human conception - many of which spontaneously abort

    https://bmcgenomics.biomedcentral.com/articles/10.1186/s12864-020-06962-8

I noted in one post you claimed that “human” was not reliant on brain function - if that is so, why do we do brain death tests before turning off ventilators?

For someone claiming to base their decision making on “science” you seem not to have actually explored the academic literature much

All you're doing is trying to use sophistry to excuse the killing of a human. A chimp is NOT human. A human is human. Doesn't matter what stage of development its at. Doesn't matter what disease they might inherit or deformity they have. Doesn't matter if they have 3 copies of chromosomes instead of two.

As far as brain death, you answer it in your own question. And if you can't tell the difference between a brain being developed vs brain death then all I can tell you is to study more. They are not equivalent.

Seriously, if you have to ask what a "human" is then you have no business being in this discussion. But we all know that you do know what a human is. All that you're trying to do is wax philosophy and bring in concepts that have nothing to do with actual scientific facts. All in order to excuse the killing of a human. Whether you want to admit it or not. I for one will not continue such a charade. If you can't even admit the truth of the matter then don't bother responding to me. Its one thing to admit that you don't mind if a human is killed in the process of abortion. I'd have more respect for such an argument than an argument which relies on nebulous concepts and denial.

No woman chooses to be raped. No girl chooses incest.

Plus, every form of contraception has a failure rate.

You need to accept the magnitude of the change you are demanding.

And, you need to recognize that the majority of Americans do NOT agree with you.

What about those other 99% of women who get abortions who did have choice?

Letting 100 fetuses die so one incest victim doesn't have to suffer a pregnancy is a little bit of a stretch, isn't it?

(And it's actually more like 200 aborted fetuses for every incest victim)

And in any case, I think an argument could be made that, even if we don't allow abortion, the law still gives incest the right not to get pregnant, because getting them pregnant IS illegal, and the perpetrator will be punished if they catch him.

For this victim to get pregnant when she doesn't want to, the person responsible will be punished.

Besides from incest, the vast majority of rape victims will still be able to get abortions, if they do it early enough. Rape victims having the ability to abort sooner than other women because they know there could be an issue.

What I have stated does not apply to those. There is no choice made in those. Therefore forcing them to continue with the pregnancy that they were forced into would indeed be akin to slavery. And that I am against. It sucks, but there does have to be a reasonable balance.

Which everyone knows. As such a woman voluntarily having sex accepts that possibility.... and responsibility.

    Already have.

I'm well aware that the majority of American's accept the fallacy of the "personhood" argument. That can change.

But some have more rights than others.

This is like right out of the pages of Animal Farm.

Why is it "murder" in one instance but not in another? How do the ZEFs differ?

    YUP, HER responsibility NOT yours...

It could but why would the ZEF be granted more rights than any other "person" ???

YOU want it to have the right to use another's body to sustain it's life...something NO other PERSON has a right to do.

Rape and incest don't have to stand alone. There have been multiple serious arguments against the government becoming involved in women's bodies.

The argument against abortion is a sum of all reasons.
As has been explained, this is just plain false.

First, as we note in ALL walks of live, laws can only claim to reduce crime.

Next, for several strong reasons that have been explained on this board, incest is rarely reported.

Rape also faces a low report rate. And, even when it is, the prosecution means the horror of public cross examination and the high probability of losing.
This is also nonsense. The anti abortion furor has caused the elimination of cites that are legally able to perform abortions. Even here in the CA Bay Area there are groups picketing sites where information might be obtained. And, the objective of anti-choice is to eliminate abortion, PERIOD. They just haven't succeeded yet.

Back to your ridiculous comment on incest, where do YOU suggest a 10 YO incest victim should get information on pregnancy?

Regardless of whether she should be made to have that baby, likely she should be punished.

Maybe by putting her in a minimum security prison where she can't do drugs and offering to cut her sentence if she agrees to have another baby, being a surrogate for an infertile couple.

Maybe for the prisoners with good behavior nearing the end of their sentences, they could build a daycare facility where women from outside the prison could leave their toddlers, to do some good for the community.

You talk about responsibility, but where is the education component?

Today those opposed to abortion are also opposed to sex education, contraception, and other legitimate information sources. For example, here in the CA Bay Area teens can't go to planned parenthood, because there are pickets who take photos of girls and track them down in order to out them to parents and embarrass them on social media. They are being stalked.

You can suggest that parents should be teaching this stuff to their children. But, that is absolutely NOT happening. Besides, we know that teens are not built to avoid sex.

In other words, our laws have to accommodate reality. Making laws that we KNOW for CERTAIN are not going to be followed is an abuse - not an excuse.

As for your comment on rape, there is only one person who knows whether a sex act was rape. And, there is no possibility of our legal system getting involved, obviously.

Well maybe they can go to Crisis Pregnancy Centers instead, to learn about how to avoid creating babies.

Crisis Pregnancy Centers do everything PP does - just minus the Abortion

    Planned Parenthood doesn't do abortions.

And, you missed the point that even locations that don't do abortions are being picketed by right wing ant-abortion activists who photograph girls who go there and stalk them on social media, notify parents, etc..

    You're down 2 for 2.
