Who pays tarriff imposed by TARRIFFMAN? The tarriffer, or the tariffEE?

  1. The tarriffs are imposed, and those imposing the tarriffs, pay.

    Electronics ...

Now you wanted me to name a product so you can mount a counter argument saying i am wrong.

    i know that trick.

But arguments that taxing China is lousy yet taxing our rich is excellent is crazy economics.

Surely you are not trying to allege all Chinese are poor and we are damaging them? Those rich Chinese have billions to pay us. I do not feel sorry for the Chinese. So why do you?

We can make products in China and not be forced to plunge into American laws, rules and regulations and the ridiculous cost of labor in America.. Corporations will only come back when Americans welcome them back. They have long been the whipping boy of Democrats Chinese seem to enjoy corporations.

When Democrats jack up wage laws, expect the Chinese to welcome more corporations.

Tariffs aren't "taxing China." Importers pay tariffs. You can be a fan of low taxes or of the tariffs, but trying to do both is a contradiction. More than 1,000 economists, including more than a dozen Nobel laureates have spoken out against Tariff Man's destructive, unconstitutional tariffs.

So Robert you feel it is 100% OK for CEO'sExecutives and Boards of Directors to award themselves obscenely high salaries for off loading Americas manufacturing to cheap foreign labor. But think it's wrong for American workers to demand their fair share of corporate profits??That makes ABSOLUTELY NO SENSE IN A CONSUMER DRIVEN ECONOMY!!The objective of which should be to spread the spending power to as many people as possible to keep them all spending.By concentrating the wealth, as our system has, you cripple a consumer driven economy.

I'm suggesting that if products are manufactured using sweat shops and by countries that hurt our manufacturing base by lack of labor laws, or by manipulating currency to create unfair trade... yes they should be tariffs in place.

Let's not forget what is happening to the investor.

Beginning Monday of last week, most Trump supporters and everyone else over 50 have lost thousands of dollars in retirement savings because of Trump and his trade war with China. Investments are taking a major hit and it will continue.

We live in a global economy. Business moves at the speed of light. This is new.

Left wingers pushed and pushed for labor laws, and I agree with the need. But to ignore the impact that has in a global economy is ignorant.

A global economy where some tariffs exist, and a few countries are under sanctions.

Of course those laws have a big impact on the economy within a country too.

Most every component in an electronic device comes from China.
I work for a contract mfg that builds printed circuit boards. Many parts that make up that printed circuit board went up in price because of the tariffs.

    Ridiculous cost of labor?
How many times did you reduce your labor costs so a customer could bet a better price?
You know, labor costs is a person's wage. If they reduce the labor cost, they reduce purchasing power.

And the RW pushed for free trade and trade agreements, that sent many jobs out of country.
Why after they ruined our mfg base, are the suddenly concerned about the mfg base in the country?
Our economy has recovered and we are in one of the longest growth streaks in USA history.

Oh no, no, no. You're conflating liberal free marketers with Trumpian nationalists.

Trump's actually more of a moderate Ross Perot type when it comes to economic policies.

As for that supposed "RW", they come in two flavors. (and that's not even counting the evangelical Christian faction)

Money is never lost on wall street. Someone gains when someone loses. That means that as retirement accounts, in the form of stocks, loses money, that lost wealth goes to the top. Or should I say, average people bought stock for more than it was worth. Adding to the wealth inequality.

More comes form Taiwan and South Korea. I think China is fifth and the US sixth. But if you consider Taiwan and Hong Kong as China, then China would be the clear leader.

    Depends on the commodity.
When I would search for parts from distributors, 1/2 or more the the parts in the search list had tariff applied or tariff pending.

The market is forcing down the fees to sell homes. I would imagine this is happening all over America. Our fees to hold our licenses are not falling and they show no sign of ending the cost to keep taking college level courses.

How did Labor get hurt by our TV sets now being made not in America, but in foreign lands? We lost the workers that used to work making our TV sets. What country makes your cell phone? Do you actually drive an American car? Does China make parts for the Cadillac?

When you increase taxes to the rich, the consumer ends up paying that as well. This is one reason I work hard to get the FAIR TAX passed into law.

When you up taxes on Corporations, brother they plug us into the equation and we pay those taxes. Democrats try to keep the American deceived by pretending those do not get passed along too. China is taxed by Trump. China has no duty to pass their taxes to us. Trump has more tools. I think he plans to defend America.
