"Big time", LMAO. Why does anyone even bother with polls? Each side claims its favourite wins. Ask a Clinton supporter "who won the debate?" and in essence they answer "I want Hillary to win the race" and vice versa, because irrespective of who they think actually won, they always claim it for their pick. So the poll is pointless. You might just as well just poll "Who do you want to win the Presidency?".

Actually, I agree. Polls on this kind of thing (especially those call-in or Internet sign-in abominations...are useless.

I based my comments on having watched the debate...and saw Hillary take Donald apart. He looked like a lost kid at times...and was totally unprepared. He is in this thing WAY over his head.

By the way...if you watched Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton exiting the place...Hillary and her entourage were jubilant and laughing...Donald and his family looked like they were exiting a funeral.

    They told us who won!

A candidate's objective in a public debate is to win the support of the majority of the public.

Putting aside personal, subjective analysis, movement in the polls over a few ensuing days provides the definitive verdict as to who one.

So far, America seems to be declaring Clinton the clear winner.

Or he could have not doubled down the next day, bringing it up on his own as if how many pounds some former Miss Universe gained is something the rest of us actually want to hear about. All it does is make him look like more of an ass and alienates the hundred odd million of Americans who struggle with their weight. I think there's a difference. Some women are bimbos. Some black youth really are super predators. But for Trump to perseverate on how much of a disappointment some woman was because she gained 55 (actually it was 18 ) pounds, just shows how he thinks of women in general (as opposed to specific women). His point was that women who gain weight and are still thinner than most Americans are a worthless disappointment to him. And instead of having the class and grace to say oh yeah well it wasn't very nice but that's how the business goes, he continues to complain about her. He's a total scumbag.

With Madame Secretary's numbers continuing to rise, and the reality tv performer's falling, it would appear that the results are in.

That must be one of the delights of running against the reality tv performer. He is a denizen of the frivolous entertainment world, and it is shamefully easy to exploit his ego and evoke his hysteria about irrelevant minutia. It's as easy as diverting a kitten's concentrated attention by dangling a feather in front of it.

Praising a Russian thug whilst maligning a beauty pageant contestant exposes neither the priorities nor the disposition one expects of a U S president.

Interesting. Clinton is the only one of the two who lost major support.

No, she's losing ground. Trump is gaining ground.

To be honest, the reality TV performer knows what needs to be done to fix the problems we have.
Bill's wife doesn't know how to fix the economy. She wants to continue the same failed policies
the Democrats and the current president have used with nothing but negative results. She refuses to
address the immigration problem. Her debate partner, Lester), refused to ask her hard questions.
Her answer is to put them on the Democrat vote program (welfare). She's shown herself to be pathetic
in world issues, i.e. Benghazi, Russian reset, isis (which she is a huge part of giving ground to.)

Yes, Bill's wife is losing ground because she has no experience. Only failed policies which the hard
lined left honestly believe will work if continues. It's known as pie in the sky.

I believe Trump did pretty good with having to debate two people (Bill's wife and the moderator that
didn't moderate). And since he's showing himself to be a leader the worthless meddling moderates are
leaning toward him. Worthless meddling moderates ALWAYS follow whomever appears to be the
leader at the moment. Bill's wife has shown no leadership whatsoever which is understandable since
    she has no leadership qualities.

I think Hillary tromped all over Trump in that first debate; I expect her to do the same in the next...and I expect her to be elected president of the United States in November.

    We'll see.

A lot of people expect that. Keep in mind- per the thread that cites all of Hillary's status polls, 48% of Democrat voters polled that they are "settling" for Hillary, and do not support her. They are against trump. That's almost half of Democrats

It's sad that even the Dems don't like her.

That's the horrible nature our country is in. Everyone has to "settle" instead of elect someone that's not corrupt and a serial lair.

EDIT: Sorry I posted the wrong number. Corrected it

There is no doubt that what seems a majority of Americans feel they are "settling" on someone...or "choosing the lesser of two evils."

I have NEVER felt that way during this election.

I'm not a fan of the American right...but I have got to give credit where credit is due. They managed, over the years, to make the label "liberal" into something disgusting...when it truly is not. I personally am NOT a liberal, but to suppose it identifies people who are evil or nailve or any of the other negative traits assigned to it by the American right...is absurd.

Same things hold for Hillary Clinton.

Hillary is a person who from the moment she got out of university...started working toward righting wrongs that were pervasive toward women and minorities. She has been a tireless champion of programs and political philosophy that I consider necessary and long overdue.

The fact that the American right has managed to paint her as she is now perceived...is a brilliant piece of work by them. I hope they rot in Hell for it...but I give them credit for it.

I am voting for Hillary Clinton, AS, primarily because I think she will champion an agenda I deem moral, just, and necessary...not primarily because she is not Donald Trump.

I am not settling...nor choosing the lesser of two evils.

I like to think there are more people like me on this issue than most are willing to acknowledge.

    No....

Like I've said ....you cannot trust a crooked lying criminal who has spent a lifetime without rules and feels she is above the Laws we all have to abide by...

She cheated in the debate as she has with everything else in her life and boy did she ever cheat this time......

Trump did just fine against an unpredictable slimy criminal.

You can believe whatever you like. Since the debate, Madame Secretary's likelihood of being elected president have been improving and the reality tv performer's deteriorating.

President Obama's public approval certainly doesn't hurt the chances of a Democrat being elected.

The right turned the maligning and trashing of Hillary Clinton into an art form and some even built their careers upon doing so.

The GOP's History of Sexist Hillary-Bashing
Desperate to stop a second Clinton presidency in 2016, it’s a sure bet many in the GOP will reprise the ugly attacks they used on her 22 years ago.

    http://www.thedailybeast.com/articl...ublicans-fought-hillary-they-used-sexism.html

Trump Hires the Original Hillary Hunter
David Bossie has made a career of Clinton-hunting. And now he’ll be doing it for Donald Trump.

    http://www.thedailybeast.com/articles/2016/09/01/trump-hires-the-original-hillary-hunter.html

Combine these tactics with useful idiot conspiracy nuts and we have the kind of campaigning, GOP candidate and petty bull(*)(*)(*)(*) from the right wing that we see today.

If there is sanity in this country, she'll get her payback by winning the presidency in November, PT.

We have to thank the Republicans for helping...by nominating someone like Donald Trump to oppose her. Nicest thing they coulda done!

I actually believe that the right's persistence in hindering her at every turn over the years has made her even more determined to become POTUS.

Careful with than sanity card. Your craziness isn't necessarily the craziness of others.

I think the Republicans needs to extend a warm thank you to the Democrats personally. By nominating Clinton they have created an easy election for the Republicans; nothing short of gift wrapping the oval office with a big red bow and presenting it. We have to thank them because they had some real threats they could have pulled out. Joe Biden might be funny but he's a powerhouse with a upstanding reputation. Bernie Sanders might be a complete joke but at least he had a following (well, at least before he sold out). Even Michael Bloomberg stood a better chance. No, the Democrats chose the weakest candidate that possibly could have. We salute you.

Hardcore Trumpies, as a cult, are very emotional people.

They do not operate on a cerebral level.

Their messiah's dismal performance in the debate has them very upset.

They might feel better if they went out and kicked a fat lady.

Democrats are damned lucky that Repubs nominated a reality tv entertainer. A legitimate politician might have defeated her.
