"Who's gonna pay for Medicare for all?" is either stupid or disingenuous

3.3 minus 2.0 equals 1.3 trillion in our pocket every year.

Oh my, I feel such shame.

What makes you entitled to my stuff?
I work for mine, but you don't have too?
Who told you you were special?

If everybody owes you healthcare, as your right, what do you owe them in return, taking up space and consuming oxygen?

Whom do you think is paying for it now? That is our system, Medicare for all, financed by insurance payments, taxes, and institutional benefit plans. You are paying for the most expensive, least efficient health care in the world. One way or another, it comes out of YOU.

If you don't mind hospice and morphine when you get a bowel obstruction or hip fracture at 85, we can save a ton.
Ask @Bowerbird how her country saves money.
They cut off the services that our elderly currently get in their last month of life. The stuff that costs more than the care they've received over the course of their entire life to that point.

Just tell grandma that you need to sacrifice her for your economic gain. Stage is yours

We are eventually going to have a government run modified single payer system. As more and more companies discontinue insurance coverage and it follows on the heels of the discontinuation of defined benefit pension plans.

The role of the employer has changed. You no longer go to work for a company with an eye on working there 20 years or until you retire. Companies want "on demand" employees in order to better compete and to keep profits and shareholders happy.

The congressional budget office had non insured at 48mill in 2010 and 28 mill in 2016 after obamacare. I expect it to rise back to 48 mill within 5 years as companies drop out from providing benefits.

Right now if you remove government employees or government dependent employees such as defense suppliers they are the ones who reap the benefits of the system as it is now.

I don't think business should be in the business of providing retirement and health benefits. those benefits should be provided by the government. American business freed from 10% SS matching and providing health benefits would position them so much better to compete on the world stage.

Yea, but employer sponsored health insurance is a form of slavery.
No one want to abolish slavery in U.S. it is embedded in the political system.

You can always go to private insurance to save your mom.
All that need to be done is to lift unconstitutional ban on purchase of Medicare for people younger then 65.

People should provide their own, through savings

Just tell her rights are inherent to the individual and do not involve someone else's property being given to you.

    What is hard to understand?
Forced labor is a type of slavery.
Since there is no decent affordable health insurance that you can buy on the free market you have to go to work for corporation.
You can't just live in United States for your own money, you have to be a slave, either government slave to get Medicaid or corporate slave to get affordable health care through the employer.

How much do you think people can save for health care, if one day in the hospital cost thousands of dollars?
Government makes health care very expensive, it is so expensive that no one can afford it, even rich people.

I think I said that already.
You on the other hand won't tell what you intend on doing to her.

    Ya think?

We are all protected by the law. We all have a right to fair treatment by fair courts. This is not free.

Freedom of speech is not free. Those who would stop you must be stopped, and that has a price.

All I needed was one case to show your error, but there are two for you.

Neither is valid. The cost of operating courts is not made more expensive by making them fair. There is no cost to freedom of speech, only to the continued existence of the country that offers it.

Sticking her in hospice instead of getting the emergency laparotomy when she comes in septic from peritonitis at age 85, so you can save money personally

    That covers nothing.
    Thank you but no thankyou
Why don't you make sure that we have abundance of health care providers first, then we can talk bout buying insurance.
Government limits health care resources intentionally, to serve health care cartel lobbyists.
And your suggestion is to give all the money to the Medical Cartel.
