Why are Republicans so opposed to vote by mail?

There is no legitimate reason to oppose voting by mail. The opposition seems to be based purely in lies from Trump and other liars supporting him, claiming that voting by mail leads to voter fraud. This is a lie because there is no evidence to support the claim, yet these lying liars continue to tell that lie, knowing it is a lie.

It is all especially bewildering in light of the fact that:

Trump registered to vote in Florida last September under his White House address – 1600 Pennsylvania Ave, according to the Washington Post. But Florida does not allow people to register to vote without an in-state address, and one month later, Trump resubmitted his application with a Florida address and voted in the Republican primary.

On his registration form, Trump told Florida officials his legal residence was in Washington DC but on another day also said he was a “bona fide resident” of Palm Beach, Florida, home to his Mar-a-Lago Club, according to the public records reviewed by the Post.

Other voters have faced significant consequences for the same mistake. In fact, as some Democrats pointed out, the same issue is listed on White House website as voter fraud.

Please look into the REAL I.D. Act and how you will not be allowed entry into federal buildings or other formerly-public areas. Its magnetic reverse-strip contains data we may not even know the contents. Once all states require a minimum of a state ID just to buy tobacco or other specified items, the list sharply narrows for those still willing to not get such a card. Passports aren't possible without positive identification. In other words this is a dead issue. They have us going in.

 

Private enterprise just put up two successful launches for the cost of one NASA flight. At this rate of savings, Moon tourism is not that far away at Trump Lunar Base.

they need valid ID to register, just like you do for health insurance and preregistration for appointments and a gazillion other things we do daily. After that, to get the service, it’s saying name and DOB and / or address. Voter ID is another attempt to marginalize minorities and decrease voter turn out.

In Michigan, they "swipe" the driver's license and this ONE SECOND PROCESS resolves all identification issues. You'll find no sympathy for those unwilling to take that same license out to vote but willingly show it to buy something. I buy a piece of America's future with MY license. I won't listen to those too lazy to do likewise, since I am not a Democrat and I like my elections honest as honest as possible. This loophole must be closed. ID or no vote.

If we want progress in space exploration, we do not need their massive waste but instead rely on private enterprise. Consider just for one example the reusable rockets NASA never truly bothered to develop. Millions wasted, every launch.

So, only those who’s own and drive are car are allowed to vote ? Registration takes care of you using any acceptable form of ID.
The poor and big city dwellers and certain cultures often don’t have a drivers license. Millions have no government issued ID. It used to be a fear of the right to have govt tracking. Now, it’s ok when voter suppression is at stake. It’s an obvious discrimination tactic.
