If I were to pick ONE unassailable point, I'd have the "team" swooping in here and attacking like attack sharks and I've found that nobody is really interested in truth anymore. Nobody will think critically (or think at all for that matter), concede even the smallest point, and are happy being ignorant, so, why bother? You believe it all and you've swallowed it all. Good for you. I don't care.
It's pretty pointless. Pointing out the stupidity of the right wing and their advocates is more fun anyway.

It would be helpful if you linked to threads as examples. My experience on this forum so far is the hardcore conspiracy people keep themselves to the conspiracy area because the have no other interests.

    What's one's conspiracy theory is another's opinion.
If you happen across a thread that you think is out of place, report it, so mods can redirect if need be.
Staff can't be aware of every thread or post, and we greatly appreciate your help in the matter.
Please remember, if you think a thread/post is somehow not in the correct forum, or is against the rules, doesn't necessarily make it so, and posting something others disagree with is not against the rules.:sun:

You mean like Newt being ethical, or Obummer being the Messiah, or democrats/republicans being the answer to all our problems?

Might as well the whole works down in the basement if that is the only criteria.

I think the conspiracy theory forum should be removed entirely. You might as well just call it the bull(*)(*)(*)(*) forum, since that is what the CT forum is there for-discreditation. Any thread in that forum has automatically been labelled with the stigmatic "Conspiracy Theory" label, so why would anyone want to start a thread there? Unless, of course, they were just trying to discredit an idea, then starting a thread there just to have it labeled conspiracy theory makes sense.

That sounds like half of the GOP (except for the "sophisticated" part, of course!):)

You know, I heard that there are some people in Texas and Louisiana that swear they saw a brilliant flash of light, and something resembling a Klingon K't'inga-class battlecruiser in the skies immediately before the Columbia (OV-102) was destroyed.

Remember what Capt. Kirk said - "I've never trusted Klingons, and I never will."

You should go read the "JFK" subsection of the "Conspiracy Theory" forum.

There are a couple of posters in there who are absolutely convinced of a conspiracy, and a couple of others (myself included), who post evidence to the contrary.

I myself also start threads in there about news pertaining to the assassination - the death of FBI Agent James Hosty most recently, and the sale of one of the JFK ambulances was another.

Feel free to join in! :)

There are times that I hope that what goes down in Washington is the result of some conspiracy. I shudder to think that everything is the result of disconnected, random acts and disjointed thinking RE: reaction. Technically, when two or more people get together clandestinely to formulate a plan of action...that's a conspiracy. The root being; to conspire. Political conspiracies have been prevalent throughout history. Leaders assassinated, governments overthrown, corporations taken over...everywhere you look...conspiracy. Some contemporary conspiracies include; FDR's knowing in advance that the Japanese were going to attack Pearl Harbor, Attempts on Hitler's life, the Roswell UFO, the leaking of atomic secrets to the Soviets, the assassination of JFK, Watergate,,,,go back as far as the assassination of Caesar. One conspiracy after another.
To think that conspiracies no longer exist in this 'enlightened time' is to deny the reality that stares us in the face. Some conspiracies, such as the 9/11 Truther conspiracy seems ridicules on their face. Too many people would have to have been involved. Birther theories would involve too many loose ends. Yet, in the face of so much evidence of conspiracies in history. One cannot discount them altogether.

I think we need to keep the conspiracy theory forum, but we need a sub forum for global warming. Maybe another for Ron Paul supporters too.

Nothing like your typical lies, with no evidence whatsoever.

As usual, you are incapable of refuting facts, so you simply accuse anyone who dares challenge you of being a part of the conspiracy.

Any evidence anything I said is incorrect?

I agree with this. It's not likely to happen as I hear some mods are RP supporters...and technically it's not fair: Ron Paul isn't a conspiracy; it's just his supporters believe in so many of them.

What I'd like to know is why Watergate is in the "conspiracy" section. Watergate is a proven criminal conspiracy backed by facts, not some unfounded "OMG Illuminati Reptilian Joos did 9/11" garbage.

Members are supposed to be creating their threads to express their opinions in the correct forums and if they have a question about what the appropriate forum is then they can contact any staff member. If a member sees a thread located in the wrong forum they are invited to notify the moderators by Reporting the OP post. They might even suggest what forum the thread should be in.

Members that continually post threads in the wrong forum after being advised not to are dealt with appropriately by the moderators.

This resolves the issues related to this thread and the thread is being closed because of off topic posting that did not address the issue. It is suggested that if a member have an issue like the one addressed here that they post it in the Suggestion Box as it is an issue for the moderators.
