Imagine you are watching a boxing match. One boxer developed his strategy based on the rules we all know. But during the match the other boxer brought out a knife and stabbed the first boxer. The judges ruled that this would be allowed because the other boxer argued that during the pandemic it's ok to change the rules. He won according to the new rules, but he didn't fight fair according to the rules we expected.

This is what happened with Trump vs Biden. Biden changed the rules and say that now it's ok to mail out ballots in mass. Now it's ok to extend the count by three days in Democrat cities. Now it's ok to not have a ground game. Biden may have won because the judges allowed these new rules, but many believe that he wouldn't have won if the rules were changed last minute in his favor.

That analogy started out promising, but then swerved off into crazy land really quickly. Also, to make it hew closer to the subject, the boxer that got stabbed would have to have spent years talking about how, even though he won his previous matches, his opponents had secretly stabbed him all those times. And how he was secretly being stabbed even in between matches. And how the other boxer wasn't just going to bring a knife to the match, but an entire gang of other boxers, each with their own weapons. And, they were going to hurt him so badly that not only would he be killed, but the entire sport of boxing would die, and all the spectators would be robbed, and people from other sports would then come into the arena and take their jobs... Well, you get the idea.

There is a fairly new rule in CFB called targeting that gets players ejected now. Sure, in years past, you wouldn't have gotten ejected for targeting or even penalized. But complaining that the other side cheated because of the new rule is disingenuous. Both sides played by the same rules. Stop acting like a sore loser.

Trump was trying to use his power as President to hinder the post office, that is why these republicans had to do this - Trump should have been disqualified for that attempt - it's like if a polling center had issues during the day so they allowed it to stay open longer

That doesn’t even make sense. How does one obtain more information by getting off the couch to vote in person? Does the act of going to the polls in person somehow make someone more informed? Could you walk me through how that works?

 

That is not a fair statement. Most voters are too lazy to research every candidate, judge, measure, etc. The lazier they are, the less likely they will go to the polls. Its not a conspiracy, just a successful strategy.
