Why Can’t My Black Son Have A Toy Gun?

When I was a kid our toy guns didn't have that red cap on the end and we used to play "war" all the time...

Hell, when we got older we used to shoot each other with our BB guns....

I think the real issue is that cops have indeed become trigger happy - not only that but progressives generally are anti-gun - even toy gun.

This world is a real POS compared to when I was a kid.

 

I think it's perfectly in character for today's black mothers to to whine that their children can't carry toy guns instead of being deathly concerned that their children are carrying real guns and shooting each other for no reason. But what would you expect of women that don't care whether they can afford the children they have or whether the men they have these children with will be there the next day.

 

Well if you look at my post I don't mention race or political affiliation. My question is why are you trying to inject either into the argument. To me, neither of those things have a basis to be argued here.

If you are an irresponsible parent and allow your kids to run around in today world with a toy gun that looks just like a real gun...you are a terrible parent and cops have to react to a threat when they see one. These are the facts.

I agree the world is a real POS. Especially when kids that age are carrying around real guns, slinging dope, killing people, and part of gangs. Which is why cops have to react to threats.

 

Only a complete jackass idiot fool parent would send their kid out into a war zone with a toy gun.

Black communities are not war zones ? 10 years of the Iraq War, and we got about 4500 troops killed, and 40,000 wounded. Equivalent to just Chicago for the same time frame.

Maybe the parents were teaching their kids their Constitutional right to keep and bear arms. Of course they don't let them have real guns but they want them to know as adults they can open carry while walking around town, eating in a restaurant or walking around a school when they pick their kids up. They can even bring them to church and maybe soon an NBA game.
Oh wait, the kids were black.....never mind, different rules.

 

So true, its not the violence, the fact that over 70% of black children are born out of wedlock, or the fact that over 60% of black women currently have an STD (not had-HAVE)-the problem is black kids can't have toy guns.

Enough of the BS. Time to address the problem instead of crying about the symptoms.

Let's be honest, most of the kids would still be alive (Tamir Rice) if they wouldn't have acted like grade A morons with their airsoft guns.

Example 1: Don't take the orange cap off.
Example 2: don't quickly reach for something in your pants when the cops roll up in a high density crime area.
Example 3: Don't aim a toy gun, or a real gun at anyone else, especially a LEO. (Two kids playing Cowboys and Indians is ok since both party's are aware it is a toy, if a cop rolls up just lay it down and allow them to do their job)

 

Well, you're STUPID Parent for even wanting your kid to have a STUPID Toy Gun. I've never understood Parents who allow their kids to play with Toy Guns that are created to resemble Real Guns that are made to Kill things. If you are a Stupid Parent, are OK and supportive of your Kid running around with a Toy Gun going Bang! Bang! and then he points it at someone who has a Real gun and they shoot and kill him, because they were in fear of being shot, Guess what! you're to blame for killing your child

And please stop pretending that they were teaching their child anything.

They weren't there. They were no where near their son who had been waving the gun around and pointing it at people, which is why the cops were called.

You're trying to insert race into this because it's your only argument. It's a see through attempt to try to paint it as a racist incident when in fact the blame rests squarely on these terrible irresponsible parents.

 

So it's OK to have adults carrying real guns wherever they want for "protection" in a bathroom because it's their "right" but kids, or I should say black kids, can't have toy guns.

 

Really, it's not about race? You're saying you put this post up to talk about bad parenting and THIS is the story you picked to debate it?
Don't pretend you know anything about the parents or the kids and if I remember correctly the caller said they didn't think the gun was real but that investigation took less than 2 seconds.

The kid did NOT take " aim" police not do ANYTHING to do ANY threatening moves. NOTHING!

And if you watch the video, the saw and murdered INSTANTLY! No warning, no evaluation, instantly SHOT and left to let any life this left in this boy while the cops ignore him and leave to die like a dog.

 

Adult points any real-looking gun at cops. Likely gets shot. Teenage kid, especially in high crime areas, points any real-looking gun at cops. Likely gets shot.

Your logic is fine but that's not what happened. It also doesn't explain how unarmed blacks get shot all the time yet white guys/women can carry guns openly without a problem. White mountain people aim guns at federal officers....nothing. What's the logic there? We are talking about kids with toy guns here. Kid has a toy gun and gets shot because he didn't "obey" yet adults threaten the feds and because they represent a "tyrannical government" yet you want other adults that are unarmed to prostrate themselves to the same authority and if they don't well they were asking for it. Too much of a logic stretch for you?
