Why Can’t My Black Son Have A Toy Gun?

The cops are supposed to magically know its a kid, and know his intentions and that its a fake gun.

None of this argument is based in logic, its squarely in the lefts "feelz" zone.

 

YES! that's exactly what I'm saying. Black kids can't have toy guns, because it makes them look like gang bangers who like to shoot Police. Cops are very trigger happy right now and don't want to be shot and I can't blame them. If some Kid is dressing up like a Gang Member and he has an Airsoft or BB gun that looks like the REAL thing, he's going to get shot plain and simple, because a Police officer doesn't have the luxury of finding out whether a person pointing a Gun at him is real or whether he's a big 12 year old and a 25 year old Black male. Moral of the story, The black community needs to get it's (*)(*)(*)(*) together and stop glamorizing Gangs.

 

Well I know they bought their 12 year old an air soft gun and let him run around with it unsupervised.

An air soft gun that if he shot someone in the face or eye could cause harm.

It has nothing to do with race. You inject racism into it as a way to quell anyone from asking the real questions.

Why was he running around unsupervised at 12? Why was he playing with an air soft gun unsupervised?

So please continue to try to insert race into this. It's your only argument. Try to distract from the parents terrible neglect. Try to distract from the fact that they let a 12 year old run around with an air soft gun in a neighborhood with a high crime rate unsupervised.

You just look ridiculous trying to blame this unfortunate event on racism rather than asking the real questions.

 

Counties, communities, districts in America are typically segregated.
White cops that choose to work in black districts do so at their own risk. I think those who do (for higher pay) are foolish.

 

And the excuses never stop!

What of all the kids who are getting without pointing a gun, yet are INSTANTLY shout down and then left to die in the gutter without care.

What in the moment of the police arriving and the instant murder of this kid when they arrive will these "police" need to even have time to do anything but shut him down?

Tamir would still be alive had he left to orange piece on the barrel of the toy gun. Why did he take it off? I think it's a safe bet he wanted folks to think it was real.........he got his wish.

I don't agree with you but you understand what the thread is about.
I don't know how the kid was dressed but you're probably right but a police officer DOES have the luxury of finding out (in this case) if the gun was real or not.
Stop glamorizing Gangs......like Italians do with the Mafia (after the Godfather) and Hispanics do after Scarface or why people glamorize Bonnie and Clyde, John Dillinger.

I'm going to take a wild guess and say he was called racist for speaking.

 

They're mostly poorly trained and trigger happy. I don't care how "stressed" they are. Get a different job. And, no, it has nothing to do with race. A cop will shoot a white kid with a toy just as fast as he'll shoot a black kid. Our population is around 2 million. I know retired cops that never cleared leather. Today, they draw down on everyone. They shoot people in moving cars. They shoot people wil kids in moving cars. RIP, Miriam Carey.

 

I'll discuss anything you like but how about sticking on one subject and not doing a cha-cha.
Cops killing blacks, cops killing whites, violent crimes, violent arrests cha cha cha.
Violent crimes lead to violent/arrests...you want to back that up or is this some "common sense" stats that everyone should know and you can't back up and still has nothing to do with cops killing blacks.

 

The topic is beyond "cops killing blacks" the only dancing is being done by you.

If you dont know the basics of FBI crime stats you simply dont belong discussing the topic until you do.

 

Publicly brandishing a REALISTIC toy gun, in TODAY'S society, is a liability to your safety, regardless of age or race.

The subject is black children playing with toy guns and should they have a right to. You say no and if they do, well, they are asking for trouble. I say yes, they should be allowed the same as a kid in a suburb. I say blacks are killed more than whites, you say no. By population you are correct but that's because whites are 68% of the population and blacks are 12% so if out of 100 killed if 68 whites were killed and 12 blacks they would be even by percentage. That's why I asked. Blacks are also 3X more likely to be killed by a cop than a white.
So what about statistics do you think I don't understand?
