I happen to like Donald Trump as my president. I think he has so far made good policy decisions and I also support the majority of his positions on the issues. So I find it perplexing and confusing to me that other people don’t have the same attitude. I admit that he can be very blunt and crude sometimes when he tries to get a point across, so I understand if you don’t like him for that. But, some people seem to hate him so much and they don’t seem to know why. So I am curious to all those trump detractors out there why do you not like Donald Trump as president?
I don't like Trump because he has 1/1,000 the class of Ronald Reagan. At least Trump is usually right on the issues.
I love President Trump I love his MAGA policies I love the way he is following through on his campaign promises I love the way he drives the fake news media people crazy with his tweets I love the way he talks like a real person I love the way he brings out the best in the lemmings who hate him I love his boundless energy and his genius - especially vis a vis the economy and foreign policy. I love his very real blue collar persona and his in your face I will fk you over attitude. I love his ironic sense of humor as he says things jokingly that sends the fake news and lemmings into a tail chasing frenzy. I love the class that his wife covers him with. On Ronnie Reagan - I loved him like a son loves his father - I wept when he died. He was in a class so far above all of the others that he will never be replaced in my heart.
Trump is the epitome of the Kardashian era - someone who is famous for being famous. Trump is classic illustration of a Drama Queen. Someone who is constant need of reaffirmation. The message of fewer regulations and lower taxes could have been championed by a number of Republicans without the divisive and derogatory Twitter vomit that is spewed from the White House. He is unnecessary to the message. And long term, that's going to hurt international relations and our political process. Everything he has done could have been done by others better.
So, I’ll actually answer the question. The responses prior have been love affairs with Trump. Really has no regard for human rights, kinda makes you curious how he treated his employees. Anyone with a conscience would let these DACA recipients and DREAMers stay, grant amnesty at no exception. He would call off ICE, even defund them. Trump fails to see our countries humanitarian obligations. Hasn’t proposed a single alternative to TPP, which tells me if he butchers NAFTA and he probably will, there won’t be an alternative to that either. Didn’t he have to ever come up with alternatives in business? Fails to see the importance in leaving coal behind, and soaking in the opportunities and job creation in green energy. Furthermore, we are putting too much emphasis on manufacturing. Technology is ensuring that cluster dies off for people so why is Trump pushing for it?
“Tattaglia is a pimp. He never could have outfought Santino. But I didn't know until this day that it was Barzini all along.” – Don Vito Corleone. Trump is a pimp. Who's he's actually pimping for is not known yet but anyone who thinks this guy has ANY idea of what he's doing is a fool.
He's wildly inconsistent on issues (wonder what his position on DACA will be today), has the emotional maturity of an ill-behaved child, he's a serial liar and he treats his "loved" ones like crap. That's what I don't like about him.
Yeah Ronald Reagan was great when he gave California to the Mexicans and Democrats. Get the **** out of here
Because I don't like climate change skeptics, attention whores and racists. I will not utter his five letter name because it gives him name recognition and free advertising. I say the name only if people pay me. I'm serious.
Blunt talk, real action, the most conservative President in modern history. In spite of the democrat media complex he communicates directly to the American people bypassing media control of the narrative. He beat Hillary.
To me he represents another erosion of our standards. We used to expect the leader of the free world to be better than the average man. Someone who could make decisions without ideological bias for the good of the country. We used to expect the president to behave with class, upholding our global image. We used to expect the president to have at least a working relationship with the truth. Donald Trump does not have class. He is waging a war on reality in order to promote his deeply entrenched ideological narrative. Worst of all he's a political dunce with no experience in diplomacy or holding any elected office. Finally, he can't be wrong. I don't trust any leader who is incapable of admitting even minor mistakes. I don't like him. I don't trust him. I think of him as a tremendous liability to our country, and I don't believe a man as exorbitantly rich as he is has any understanding of or genuine concern for typical americans and their issues.
But others, many others before him, did not, and have not accomplish what Trump did. It's sad the man get zero credit for his accomplishments. He has achieved although he has had to swim upstream against the republican establishment, the democrats, and the MSM. Imagine what he could do for our country if everyone got behind him. Maybe they will after this year when they see how we are prospering from the Trump economic plan.
Because he's a morally reprehensible man of low character that has very little self control. He's not doing a bad job policy wise, but he lacks self control. Basically put, he keeps getting into pissing contests for little or no reason. Nobody wins a pissing contest, both sides just get wet. If he could just shut up, and do the job, I wouldn't be too irritated with him.
But there will never be a majority of Americans who get behind Trump no matter how well the economy does. He is the guy in High School that everyone hated - the drama queen and general ass who lies to make himself look good. That basic make-up does not change with a good economy ( and he was handed a decent economy to begin with). Respect is something that has to be earned - declaring bankruptcy and paying off hookers while you cheat on two wives is not something that demands respect.
Like all presidents in my lifetime, I have agreed with some of Trump's policies and opposed some. I don't hate, but I dislike Trump being president. I can't stand his obnoxious, egotistical, thin skin, feud creating, temper tantrum throwing via twitter, un-presidential behavior and persona. He grates on me like sand paper. Whenever he comes on TV or they start talking about one of his tweets, I switch channels. Trump belongs back hosting his reality TV show which rewards his uncouth personality and folks get a big kick out of that. Not as president. I could agree with his policies 100% of the time, but that wouldn't stop me from disliking the heck out of Trump as president.
I dont like him. He is crude, callous, obnoxious, and an embarrassment internationally. But he is my President so I give him my support. Perhaps the gravitas of the position will eventually mold him into a man I could respect.
So you don’t like Obama, Bush,Clinton or any politician for that matter right? Because that would be consistent with what you said.
I like a number of the policies he has supported. I loathe his woman chasing (and two divorces) plus all the vulgar language and crude conduct. And I hate his arrogance and his thing about taking everything personally.
Which reminds me: I also hate the way he has inspired so much "whataboutism." His most die hard supporters never seem able to defend the man on his own merit, so they are left with finger pointing. It ends up being, at best, an exercise in "your hypocrisy is wrong, but mine is okay." And it doesn't help that he goes out of his way to encourage it, even employing it himself to defend an alleged murderer when asked about Putin. Ah, almost forgot his eager embrace of another (this time not-so-alleged) murderer: Duterte. He's got one or two policies a like, but he has nearly no redeemable qualities as a human being.
i cant stand how thin skinned he is. the POTUS is supposed to have self esteem. Trump acts like an easily baited child
But what does that have to do with him as president? It seems like everyone whose doesn’t like him don’t like him because of his personality, or his speaking abilities or etc. but what exactly does that have to do with him as president exactly? I mean I thought Obama was a likable person but an awful president because I thought his policy decisions were awful. I don’t understand why other people base their opinions on whether a politician is good or not just solely on whether they like them as people or not. That seems to be incredibly intellectual dishonest and shallow minded in my point of view. Who gives a **** if trump is likable or not, what matters is are his policy desisions good or not.
In order to respect him for his policy decisions, he'd have to have some sort of consistency in his policy decisions. Or thorough involvement. Or even an interest. He's more focused on image, and frequently gets bored or frustrated when it comes to actual policy, constantly going one way or the next depending on who is influencing him at the time and refusing to treat the matter with any real depth at all. Besides, who cares if he is likable? He does. And his obsession with his image is a constant self-distraction from actual issues.
If he secures the border, I do not care if he picks his nose on TV. We have had so many candidates who fake class but were just empty suits.
