I guess my husband was just too much of a big hunk of tough American man then to not feel emasculated by a harpy like me. Maybe men should be like him and they wouldn't need to feel like they have to travel the world to find some who wants to take care of them. Granted, he was one of a kind in many ways, but I could see myself being the same way for any many who was confident without being overbearing, funny without being cruel, and gentle when he wasn't "suited up".

Yes, that's a reason why cheating is wrong - however being in a non-monogamous relationship isn't 'harming' anyone if they are aware of it, know the risks, and are okay with it.

Second hand smoke is. Though realistically the odds of getting an STD from safe conventional sex are not that high. Most people who get STDs are just too lazy to use protection, or are druggies who share needles. Or gay men doing it anal.

Women are still a vast minority. Some of the very few truely male jobs out there. And it's not because women are discriminated against in these fields. As you rightly say, there are some women working in them. However, equality only really means something to women when it suits them. I don't think you will ever see even close to a 50 /50 cut of men and women working in dangerous career fields like this. They don't want to. Again, they only want equality when it suits them.
