If you find that normal, Chris, I don't know if I'll be able to get you to understand; she is using the fact that she expects police to be over-aggressively racist towards a black man, & clearly believes that her neighbor understands this to be a fact as well. She is using that institutional racism, among the agency that is meant to enforce the law, to serve and protect, as a weapon, to threaten some guy, who is NOT threatening her, only irritating her by filming her on his camera as she breaks the leash law, which is clearly posted. If you you don't find that utterly ironic, extremely telling as to the state of affairs, at least in the public opinion, about police behavior, as well as a demonstration of a very concerning ramification of this police bias, in this totally unexpected way a person, if she's enough of a bitch, can use it against any black man, in an extortionist way, then I don't know what to tell you.

Exactly, 'institutional racism' is the media's narrative. And that story fit that narrative PERFECTLY! Stories such as this one do not.

You're assuming that Chauvin's actions killed Floyd. What would be the purpose of the trial if we knew that for certain?

 

Give me one other reasonable explanation for her actions-- including warning him that she was going to tell the police that a BLACK MAN was harrassing/ threatening her. Her belief, her expectation of his belief, and so her tactic is EXTREMELY OBVIOUS to anyone who is not being willfully blind.

This is a public interest story that, as I said, demonstrates this woman's impression of the NYPD-- which matches the expectation of much of the story's audience-- thereby using her attitude as a proxy for the public, at least in NYC; the noteworthy part of it being that most would not use that police bias purposely against a black man who they knew presented no danger, but just out of spite.

Yes, this is a media narrative, one which this video would, at least superficially, appear to support.

I did not say it was proof. I have, this entire time, been talking about PUBLIC IMPRESSION, and Expectation/Belief. It is both interesting, & telling, just on that level.

 

That is ONE purpose of the trial, which seems to have effectively done this, but it is only the jury's verdict that really matters.

The other purpose of the trial is to determine which charge, for killing Floyd, is most appropriate: 2nd degree manslaughter, 3rd degree murder, or 2nd degree murder.
