Why New Voter ID Laws Should Frighten Women, Minorities and Poor

Some view this new wave of stricter voter identification laws as a tactic to dampen voter turnout of groups more prone to cast ballots in favor of Democratic candidates. There may a short term goal of suppressing a certain voting block for the 2012 election, but this restrictive voter ID law trend reaches back into an ugly past where women, African American and the poor were not allowed to vote.

The problem with this lie is that everyone will be allowed to vote.

There is no insurmountable literacy test or poll tax that minorities cannot pay.

Just present a picture ID at the polling place and every registered voter can vote.

 

We all (men, women, blacks, browns & poor people) must have a picture ID to get into a political fundraiser, but not to vote.

I actually took the time to read the bullcrap blog post this thread is based on. It failed to make the argument and in fact only offered a false strawman. Grow up Democrats, we are all tired of being lied to by you people. Quit the scare tactics... only a moron would buy what you are selling.

 

It is implicit... you must learn to read between the lines... it will prevent women (illegal aliens), minorities (illegal aliens), and the poor (illegal aliens) from voting democratic.

I am against the culture that is created where we are all suspects of wrong doing before we do wrong. Take that however you choose to take it.

 

Voter ID will not prevent the poor, blacks, or African-Americans from voting.

Voter ID will suppress voting by dead people, ineligible voters, and Mickey Mouse. These have been staunch Democrat blocs in the past.

 

That's the funny part. How could people vote for others who are literally telling them they're too stupid to get something for free? Or, they're too stupid to obtain what the vast majority of Americans don't see as difficult. The only people who would vote for those disrespecting them right to the faces really must be as stupid as they're being portrayed. How sad.

 

Dogs.. don't forget dogs. Saw a story this weekend about voters registration cards being issued to dogs. I guess if Fido can get credit cards, he can vote for a Democrat, huh?

No matter how many indignant grannies the ACLU trots out it is a very simple matter to get a voter i.d. in Pennsylvania. What does Viviette Applewhite need to get an i.d.? A social security number (it's impossible to believe she does not have one) and proof of residency (I assume she lives somewhere) and $13.50! Cut the b.s.
