Will Smith Slaps Chris Rock at Oscars 2022 After Joke Gone Wrong

I’m teaching my sons the same. You don’t get to attack people for what they say, but you have to stand up for yourself if someone is putting their hands on you. If it’s just words you respond with words.

Having Will Smith make a fool out of himself just turns people off.

 

I don't care for "humor" that cuts other people down.

Specifically, I hate his voice. He has one tone and *sings* his words. He also does the big eyes look which is distracting. I know. I don't like Eddie Murphy either. They both ruined SNL for me.

 

That is exactly what I thought. Jada has publicly admitted to having an affair with at least one guy who is young enough to be her son.
I wonder if Will would have slapped Dave Chappell like that?

Had the Dwayne the Rock Johnson been the Academy Awards host, Will Smith would have NEVER! came up to give him a Bitch Slap. Will is one of those Cowards that only physically attack someone smaller then themselves.

I am not a big fan of Chris Rock or Will Smith. But, I think Will was wrong for slapping him in public like that. If Will wasn't a wealthy film star, he'd be in jail this morning.

This has turned into a BIG story. It was the TV news and my car radio news this morning. I'm thinking "Did anything else happen at the Oscars last night?"

 

Have to say I agree with this. The hypocrisy is that had this been on the street and had anyone assaulted Smith as he did Rock, he'd be crying about it. The interesting thing is the LA District Attorney likely wouldn't even charge anyone. Lawless in LA these days seems to be the theme. Can you imagine if it hadn't been a guy, and it was Amy Schumer? Smith got an Oscar for playing a character he kind of just acted out in real life.... Shocker.

 

Rock declined to press charges. I think that’s why lapd didn’t act. I imagine they’re not certain it wasn’t a bit.

That still isn't cause for making fun 8f her or resorting to violence.

 

There are members of the board on scene. They could have pulled his award right there. Yes that would have been a monumental decision but one that could have been made. They could have escorted him out of the building and have the presenters accept on his behalf.

The questions now
1. Should his award be revoked?
2. Should he be invited back next year even if nominated?
