Yes really can you show me any such female icons of our social culture who have been transformed into male characters? Why is it always women become men characters and not the other way around or create UNIQUE female characters? And of course the Cracker Jack character is a cultural icon DUH.

The proof is in the pudding. My writing expresses my meaning to the reader; and my reasoning is sound. You make poor analogies, come to false conclusions, and struggle to follow a clear, uncomplicated argument-- but you can differentiate between grammar & syntax, so that makes up for having nothing else of value to say, I guess. Thanks for adding your punctuation classification to this thread's discussion of Wokeness. Unfortunately, since you don't understand the concept of "slang"-- hence your bevy of arguments, trying to distance the idea of being woke, versus having an enlightened view-- you are better off finding a thread on spelling, or something of that sort, where you can really shine.

BTW, I have never referred to myself as "woke." So, among your legion misstatements, is this erroneous assertion of yours, derived from God knows where-- maybe from the same place you get the idea that if "woke," was supposed to mean "enlightened," that's the word that would have been "coined (sic)," unless those using it, could not spell the longer word. Quite an argument.

Anyway, the term, "woke," is just not anything I typically come across, or part of my everyday world, so I have only a spectator's depth of familiarity with it (though I at least understand the general concept, which is more than one can say, for you).

What exactly was bigoted about Cracker Jack? And if it is below you to discuss things about our culture then DON'T, get it? Don't waste my time whining about it.

I'm still waiting for someone to show me where a female iconic character gets replaced by a male or even that equal representation have to be made. Heck all I see is them getting rid of female iconic characters like Aunt Jemima and the beautiful Land of Lakes butter woman. So they turn around and hijack males characters, go figger.

That's a good line. I would have rather you used an exclamation point after it. I mean, the period is fine, but when you use a line like that, deliver it with zest, my friend. Zest!

Translation: no matter what I actually reply, you will charge that you see, hidden in it, a reason for yourself to be rude and disrespectful.

A reply, presenting a better microcosm of the rationalizations of today's Trumpublicans, could not be imagined. So thanks, for your dramatization, of what the rest of us are facing.

I don't celebrate it, and I'm not telling you what you must do. I just point out that it is a stupid thing to worry about.

Maybe they wanted to shake things up a bit? Maybe gather publicity, stir up some controversy so that people remember they exist? I can't remeber the last time I thought about eating carcker jacks. Now I'm hungry. So their plan worked, lol.

It's MARKETING. If you read up on it, they did it to celebrate women in sports.
Do you really have a problem with that? Wheaties, Lucky Charms and many other products come out with commemorative versions all the time. Iron City beer had all kinds of different beer can designs, Steelers championships, Pirates, etc.
It takes some kind of individual to have issues with that. Feel free to be outraged for the rest of your lives.

Junk food mascots are not "cultural icons" except among the most pathetic. And even if they were, Cracker Jack is not being replaced by Cracker Jill. All that is happening is that CRACKER JACK (yes, JACK) it distributing a tiny, tiny handful of bags that have a girl on them (which I realize you think is the end of the ****ing world, but it isn't) TO THOSE WHO ****ING REQUEST IT. Your snowflakism is pathetic. Sack up and move on. You will survive the fact that, somewhere in the world, someone has a bag of a junk food with a girl's face on it. I promise you that you can survive this. Deal with it. Sack up and outgrow this snowflake bull ****. You guys need to learn not to to be scared of cooties. It would solve 100% of the fake bull **** being peddled in this thread as if it were a legitimate cause for a panic attack.

Until these companies see a negative affect, meaning loss of revenue, pandering to the woke stupidity, they will not stop. I will not buy products that pander to such stupidity in the name of profit.

And I'm sure their entire business model will crumble just because reactionary snowflakes decided to blindly obey their commands instead of developing the two brain cells it requires to rub together and figure out this is a horse **** "issue."

A brand deciding to do a limited edition series of packaging that you never have to see if you don't want to, and is only available to those who specifically request it, is not a "culture war." Invent a fake "culture war" out of this bull **** if you want. Snowflakes always will.

Your desire to simply ignore what's happening around you doesn't make it fake. It makes you ignorant to reality.

After you actually manage to address the topic, I will move on to your other examples. Can you manage?

Your laughable hyperbole notwithstanding "PANIC ATTACK".

Of course they are cultural icons, by definition they are cultural icons especially when they are embodied and a wide variety of media and displays.

"For over 125 years, baseball games have been accompanied by one famous Frito-Lay treat, Cracker Jacks. The tasty snack has become such a staple to the American game, that the company has decided to rebrand the iconic mascot to be more welcoming of all genders and races. Introducing the newest mascot to the Cracker Jack line, “Cracker Jill”. "

So when has a female character been redefined into a male character to celebrate males?

Yeah, neither have I. They’re just joining in the culture war because they know it’ll boost sales.

so they're not really lazy to really kind of brilliant here we are talking about a product and no neither one of us have thought about years.
Why are people so desperate to have a culture war. It's sad that we can't just accept each other's differences that there has to be war.

Lazy and brilliance aren’t always antithetical.

Because people care about what they’re told to care about.
